Rau reacted to YZF-RX in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
Compensated Billet for prototype - Check the updated GN post, they only said they would after they got called out 3 hours AFTER GN posted the original video
Acknowledge LMG shortcomings - Still feels like an empty promise as according to the video they stopped responding to Billet and instead doubled down on hating in the WAN show.
Promise to do better in the future - Yet another empty platitude, just wait till money gets involved again and corners will be cut.

Well yeah. Why do you think Linus is so upset Steve and the HardwareUnboxed guys didn't reach out to him personally, about this and Tim's lab tour faux pas?
If Steve's video was about any other content creator, it would be a headlining topic on this week's WAN Show.

You clearly haven't watched Gamer's Nexus content on these incidents, so what's the point in discussing it with you further?
IDC what the legal guidelines or industry ethics are, Steve made his own standards, and has been patting himself on the back for them over the last several years.
You're the same type of drama-seeking troll signing-up in the last several hours to participate in this thread, after tomorrow when this drama has gone stale, you'll move-on to another forum to sling mud.

I love how they stated they watched 5 mins only to then go on prove all of Steve's points perfectly....

Out of all the things, this is the thing I am most concerned with, I am still concerned about all of the other points made in the video. However what LMG/LTT did here, its not right, with all the horrible things he said about the product (even though it was his fault for not following their explicit instructions), then doubling down and not apologising when called out for making these blatent errors, to then auction something that was not there's to auction. He's not only verbally discredited this company which has likely ruined them, but also gotten rid of their only known working prototype which he had absolutely zero right to do.

I don't post often but this does feel a little like my parents arguing when I'm in the room.
Having said that, I agree with GN. That doesn't mean I love LMG any less.

Rau reacted to Haaselh0ff in GamersNexus - The Problem with Linus Tech Tips: Accuracy, Ethics, & Responsibility
Summary
GamersNexus today has published a video investigating concerns they have on the accuracy, ethics, and responsibility of the LMG media group as a whole. The video goes in to detail all of Steve and the GN team's concerns with the recent videos published within the last year by the LMG team and shared their frustrations with how corrections were handled as well as their frustrations with how errors could ever be allowed in the first place.

My thoughts
I think the issues Steve brings up are very fair issues to bring up. I realize that LTT is trying to hit its deadlines and issues will arise and I think a lot of initial issues may have been a result of the Labs infancy but I still think it's a good idea to bring notice to these issues and create that discussion in hopes that higher ups will see it and take a step back and make sure that what they're doing IS accurate and that they are able to produce content that is good and valuable AND, again, ACCURATE as well.

Rau reacted to Helly in Is Star Citizen a giant scam?
People have hobbies, some spend it on "pixels". Others on comics, toys, paintings, sculptures, cars, houses, plants, cats, dogs, electronics.
Your stupid list doesn't make any sense. Yes you could do any of that, or you can buy anything else.... its your money, no one is forcing you to spend it on any one thing. Who buys a pile of useless rust for 15k? you can do any of those others things in your list for it... yeah i can see where the dilemma is coming from! Cheers Mate!
so how that works? You call a bunch of ships from the game of someone's dreams "just pixels", i call your Ferrari a useless pile of rust.... Different priorities and wants for different people. Stop complaining about a company giving people options and just do what you want with your money and let others decide what they do with their money. Trust me, your life will truly change for the better when you do this.

Rau got a reaction from Guillaume_L in how well (or bad) would it run SC + questions
Remember that much of the performance issues are server side at the moment, so irrespective if your spec it'll hit a limit that's not within your control if the server you are on is under heavy load. It's not going to be like this forever but has been for quite some time.
16GB or slightly less is fine, OS + game loading for most people peaks around 11GB and that's in fairly unoptimised conditions,.

Rau got a reaction from D Levy in Anyone else in the Pioneer or Raven club?
Couldn't bring myself to get either tbh, someone else in my org has a pioneer and I've a feeling the Raven will be out later as a different ship for anyone to get. Prices for the drive are insane in the UK as much as I do need a replacement for my tiny M.2 drive, cost per GB is too much.
