  1. Ok, I was running Malwarebytes in the background, and when I closed it, I was able to connect. I have no idea why or how it works, but I'm not questioning it. Thanks for all of your help, though.
  2. Just tried to bypass rputer and that also did nothing.
  3. Just changed the cables out, and that didn't fix anything, so it's not the cables. Could be the ethernet port?
  4. This problem just started happening to me today. I can't connect to the internet on my PC, but all devices on my wifi network have no problem. Running Windows 7 with Google Chrome. Tried system restore 5 times, changed dns settings from auto to manual @ 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, with no avail. Connected as Modem>router>pc and consoles. Consoles run fine on an ethernet cable. If it's a problem with the OS, I have a new hdd coming tomorrow with fresh Windows 10. Chrome error "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN".
  5. Forgot to reply to this thread, but i ran malwarebytes and windows update, and that seemed to have fixed the problem. No ads so far, thanks!
  6. I can't uninstall ads by La Superba and it's freaking me out! I have windows 7. There is no program listed as ads by la superba in the programs and features tab of the control panel. I have tried system recovery to 22 September, 2015, the day before the ads started popping up. there is no chrome extension for it, there is no proof that it exists other than the constant ads popping up everytime i click! Can someone please either walk me through how to uninstall it, or even link me to a trusted uninstaller? Please, it's 2:30 in the morning and I have an essay due in tomorrow at noon that requires constant internet use, and this virus is blocking me off!
  7. As the title says, I'm looking to invest in an audio amplifier, but I've never owned one, so I'm not exactly sure of what to get. I don't have an awesome custom built PC because I can't afford it yet(but I'm working towards it), and the PC I do have is a crappy pre-built Dell T1500, so sound cards are out of the question. What gaming I do manage to run, albeit at ~20 fps on the lowest settings, is lackluster in audio quality, so I turned to external amps to suit my gaming needs. I also want to use it with my Xbox 360/One, but I don't know if it's possible. Current headsets I have are the Razer Blackshark and Sennheiser G4ME Zero (had the G4ME Zero for a week, and even without appropriate power, it is superb in build and audio quality), so I need something that will help get me past the 150 ohm barrier on them. Any advice appreciated, and please keep suggestions under ~$75 USD. Thanks! TL;DR Looking for an external amp to plug into PC and Xbox 360/One for Sennheiser G4ME Zero and Razer Blackshark. Please keep suggestions under $75 USD.
  8. Since I finally decided to splurge and get a gaming headset, I've been looking and narrowed my top picks to be the Sennheiser G4me Zero and G4me One. I chose these because they've gotten great reviews and come from a very reputable brand, but I don't really know what it is I'm looking for. I plan to use the headset to game on PC and Xbox One, so whatever I pick has to be compatible, in the sense that it has audio or audio/mic jacks. Also, if someone could recommend an audio/mic joiner dual 3.5mm female/single 3.5mm male for the Xbox controller. I've only ever used closed back headphones, so I don't know what to expect with open back. Also, I don't have a sound card yet, if that matters. No real price limit, but I'd like to only spend $100~$250. Thanks for suggestions! TL;DR What do you suggest as a gaming headset for PC/Console around $100~250
  9. So, I have a friend who I am helping build a gaming PC, but I'm not quite sure what parts to choose because I'm still relatively new to PC building. He's already got peripherals, but I need help choosing parts within his price range. Maximum build price is $800, but he wants room to expand. He'll only be gaming at 1080p, but he wants to be running at a consistently high framerate (i.e. >60fps). Preferablecolor scheme would be black/blue. Thanks for suggestions
  10. I chose the Gaming 5 mainly because of the red color scheme of my build
  11. So, I have a build already, found at http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9N9zrH, but I'd like to see if anyone can build me a mid-high end gaming PC better than the one I have. Intel or AMD are welcome. If you can, make the color scheme black and blue, but any color is welcome. Budget: ~$1200 Purpose: FPS, RPG, MMO, and MOBA gaming on high to maxed-out settings @ 60+ fps; a little 2D/3D designing and rendering and work in SolidWorks and CATIA; web-browsing; video recording and streaming Monitors: 1-3 Don't worry about OS, and the budget only applies to the components of the PC. Peripherals are open game, so feel free to select your preferences and suggestions. The bigger, the monitors the better. Thanks.
  12. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9rsBRB I'm new to PC gaming and building and I'm wondering if there is a video build guide to my above build or one that has a similar component list. I don't plan on buying the parts for a while, as I'm waiting for some holiday deals, but I do want to know what I'm doing before I get my hands wet.
