  1. Can you please upload the afterparty to soundcloud too?
  2. This is way, WAY too over-edited. It reminds of the TV shows I watched when I was an adolescent, and NOT in a good way... When will we have some non-edited, youtube-worthy content again, Linus? That was the content that attracted us to your channel, that and your personality. And all that is going down the drain now that your budget exploded and it's overshadowing the only damn thing we want to watch: you having fun with tech stuff.

  4. This video proves Linus hasn't read Gibson's Neuromancer/Aidoru, otherwise the thought of ZBOX 3+Oculus Rift CV2+Leapmotion 3.0 would have come to his mind immediately!
  5. I don't remember when I got to Linus' channel. It was more than 3 years ago, when I was looking for unboxings of various products. I ended up watching various unboxings in a few months' timespan and later ended up subscribing. Linus' personality put them miles apart other youtube unboxers. Then the livestream started and I was hooked. I am not really that happy with the road the channel has gone into, but I'm really happy for Linus that he is able to sustain himself, his family and a company of 7 people doing what he loves. What I loved the most? The livestream. The unboxings were fun, but it's Linus' personality that attracted me to the channel and kept me attracted, and there was more of it in the livestream. Sadly now the livestream has become far more, dunno, Commercial? So many ads, so much uninteresting stuff. The interaction with Luke is fun, but the other guests that sometimes come in are meh (nothing bad about them, just not very fun interactions with the main cast). I'm happy that the timing was changed so that sometimes I can watch it live, but at this point I lost interest in doing so, and I prefer just downloading the audio from the archive and listen to it as a podcast while doing other stuff. It would be nice if the format was slightly changed to accomodate audio-only listeners if possible. At the end of the day I'll keep watching, because it's still interesting, but the magic, the passion I had for it before it's gone. Now I just follow it for information. the same reason I watch Tek's or pcper's videos and livestreams. I like the format of pcper's podcast, but it's getting incredibly annoying that every goddamn time they try pushing people to watch their stuff life, continuously. Hopefully this won't become a problem with Linus', if he ever decides to go down the podcast route.
  6. Wouldn't work, all 4 cards would throttle, AMD because Mining heats them up, Nvidia because gaming would heat them up.
  7. It's a fascinating situation. Nvidia would probably support Mantle, because it would pretty much take away AMD's primary advantage, adding it to their own proprietary crap (notably, G-Sync). Intel would benefit as well, since they are so invested in APUs currently, and it would allow their APUs to be actually usable for gaming. The only one that has to lose from opening Mantle is AMD currently, which is why I really wonder if they're gonna follow on the promise.
  8. As per title. I want to buy 10 O-rings to solve the issue of some noisy keys on the G710+ (the spacebar for example), but I can't find any shop selling them in Europe...
  9. Crucial M4 - Best price/performance ratio at that time Western Digital Green 3TB. Replacement for the Western Digital Black 2TB that died (and I couldn't RMA because of sensitive data on it, and no way to run DBAN on it. $300 wasted). - Because it's for data, and I like greens. Samsung HD322GJ - Cheapest drive I could find on the store from which I bought the parts for the computer. Ramdisk - Cache for Firefox and Chrome. SSD used for OS and critical programs, WD Green used for data (with another wd green in an external enclosure, connected once a week for backup). Samsung used for games, Steam and Ramdisk image.
  10. While it is true that Linus is now a famous internet persona, I think is far too early to start selling items branded with his name.
