thericeshield reacted to LinusTech in Intel PAX Prime Maingear System GIVEAWAY!
    THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED

    INTRODUCTION

Holy crap it's that time again! PAX Prime is coming and Intel's gearing up for the show by sponsoring us to be at the show and also... apparently giving away TWO gaming systems. One of them is a Potenza gaming desktop from Maingear and the other is a Valkyrie gaming notebook from iBuyPower. I do have a bit of bad news, however. Because this is a PAX Prime promotional giveaway, eligibility is limited to Canadians (sorry Quebec, not you guys) and residents of the 50 US states.

With that out of the way... HUGE thanks to Intel for making this giveaway possible. I'm especially thrilled that out of the two systems that are being given away for PAX Prime one of them is being given to us for LTT forum members only! How cool is that!!??

PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO READ THE SPONSOR MESSAGES BELOW!

Yeah. Early 2012, Delta Electronics made the first Titanium server PSU for Dell. Super Flower sent one to Ecova a few months later that achieve Titanium as well: http://www.super-flower.com.tw/news_detail.php?class=1&sn=20〈=

SF also had shown it off in Computex this year (the Leadex that is being shown in one of the images is platinum, btw). http://www.techpowerup.com/185028/super-flower-shows-off-first-80-plus-titanium-psu.html

The usually recommendation is to not get a kit because there is really no benefit. Your better off taking the time finding the parts and choosing what is perfect for you. If you haven't already, take a minute to read the water cooling stickies at the top of the section, it answers almost any little questions you may have.

Find a radiator you want, find a nice D5 variant pump, CPU block for your socket, bay reservoir/tube reservoir and 6 fittings for the size tubing you want (8) if you get a tube reservoir, and finally the same ID and OD tubing as your fittings. So if you get 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD tubing you need 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD fittings.

thericeshield got a reaction from Sfobrien52 in 3570k vs Fx 8350
I had the same question a couple months ago and decided to go with the 8350. I chose it because seeing the gaming bench marks with both processors the results were pretty close for quite a few games. I also chose the amd because the am3+ socket isnt dead yet and the next amd processor will be released on it so if I want to upgrade I dont have to get a new mobo. However whichever one you choose will be a great choice.
