I'm kinda at a loss and I will take any help I can get.
So yesterday, I tried to mod my z87 motherboard to allow for full NVME support for a new SSD I got from a friend. I bought an adapter to plug it in to a PCI-E slot and it could be detected into windows perfectly fine, but I couldn't boot from it after I cloned it from my current SSD. I knew it was because of lack of NVME support, as it couldn't be detected from the BIOs. So, I went and modified the BIOs to hopefully allow it to detect the drive and boot from it. After the reflash, the computer booted up fine.
I went to the boot menu and saw the new ssd now, but it still wouldn't boot from it. When I tried to go back into windows it would boot like normal, but after the windows logo is gone, the screen stays black and the fans spin really slow, which usually tells me the computer locked up. I thankfully made a backup of the old BIOs, but after a reflash, no change is made. I can only boot into safe mode, but I can't boot normally. I've tried updating all my drivers and even doing a windows reset, but during the reset process, it locked up again.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it, as I don't want to lose everything on my boot drive yet. I did plan on reinstall windows when I upgrade my computer this year, but I just want to use it until then. I can provide more information if needed.
