  1. Santa has been nice to me this Christmas and now I have ~$500 to spend on my PC. I was looking to upgrade my monitor, since my PC itself is fine for now, and my current monitor setup is disgusting. I have a single 1080p 24" monitor and a 1280x1024 19" monitor on my desk right now. I am looking for an ultrawide, so I can get rid of the 19" and put my 24" above the new monitor. I live in Finland, so only European webstores, like amazon.co.uk or mindfactory.de * 1440p - I do programming, so but if you think that the price isn't worth it, its okay. * sRGB - I also do some hobbyist video editing so some color accuracy is appreciated. Maybe IPS? * Vesa mounting * > 60fps - Okay this one isn't a requirement, but would be a nice feature... Probably won't be possible for the price
  2. After some googling, it seems that I would have to change my Spotify subscription settings and what not... I guess Ill just have to pirate
  3. Nope, I still can't play those songs...
  4. So, I like to listen to this band. They have their songs on youtube, but I would like to have them in my Spotify too. Unfortunately they are limited to certain areas of asia, like korea and taiwan etc. Afaik I could use a VPN to move my traffic through korea to get access to those songs? What VPNs would you recommend for me?
  5. Ohh man this would be great in our new apartment since its so compact. And pairing this with a steam link? Awesome!
  6. I'll start with my own Overwatch renderings: Mercy in the winter: Some other variations: Model "Mercy" is ripped from Overwatch, copyright Blizzard. Posed in Blender 2.77a Rendered with Blender Cycles, 384 samples per pixel, 1920x1080 HDR is from Texturify.com, "Winter in the forest at the seashore". Film stock being emulated is Agfa Agfacolor Ultra 050. -0.5 exposure and 1.5 gamma.
  7. Lets cut to the chase: Post all of your self made fan art here. Doesn't matter where it is from; videogames, movies, books etc. are all allowed. Doesn't matter either whether you have drawn it, rendered it, sung it (?) or anything else, this place is for everything. Some guidelines: Please put large images in spoilers (over 1920x1080). If you post multiple pictures spoiler them too. If you have gotten some of your assets from other people remember to credit them Spoilers again if NSFW (No porn anyways though, but maybe some artistic nudity is allowed?) If you want to, you can list some info about your tools and the time it took to make said piece of art. NO UNNECESSARY COMMENTING (e.g. No "Looks cool brah", the like buttons are there for it). You can ask questions and give deeper critique though, as long as they contribute something to the thread. Remove double posts (obvious) Have fun (PS. mods I wasn't sure if this belongs here or in offtopic (or photography?) so if this is in the wrong subforum please move this. If not, you can remove this text)
  8. Okay thanks guys I got it working http://noxim.dynv6.net/
  9. Nope, not working. I think it was fair to assume that I had already tried that? (Oh and my IPv6 is [2001:14bb:140:8a:d06:d542:6e67:a82e] if anyone wants to try on their machine)
  10. Hey, I'm here to ask a question from all you networking genies. I have just finished a small test web page and I have it running on a Raspberry Pi. I tried to open my routers port 80 to make it visible, but it turns out my ISP only allows ports 1024-65536 and even those don't seem to work for me. But also I figured out that with IPv6 there are no such limitations on port 80 from my ISP. So I figured I'll make my page IPv6-only, since most of my traffic will be from techies anyways. (If I get any :D) I got the Apache2 server working with IPv6 and now I can access the page from within my own local network using the IPv6 address. Now, how do I make my global IPv6 to show my web page? Any ideas are appreciated
  11. Well the title says pretty much all of it. 16nm, new shroud (with vapor chamber), 1080 advertised as 2x more powerful and 3x power efficient than Titan X. 1080 releases 27 may and 1070 releases 17 june.
  12. Here's a ray marcher in GLSL. Its way under 100 lines at 23 lines. Go see in action at Shadertoy. I'm planning on rewriting it in C++ and with global illumination, so I can print it on a business card. #define R iResolution #define T iGlobalTime void mainImage( out vec4 fragColor, in vec2 fragCoord ) { vec3 u=(2.*vec3(fragCoord.xy,0).xyz-R)/R.y; float t=0.,r=1.,c=t,h=3.; u.z=r; vec3 o=u,p=u,q=vec3(7,abs(sin(T*h)),3),l=q.zxz; q.x=t; for(int i=0;i<128;i++) { p=u*t+o; h=min(length(p-q)-1.,p.y+1.); i>63 ?r=min(r,8.*h/t):h<.001 ? c=5./length(p-l):t; t+=h; if(i==63){ o=p; u=normalize(l-o); t=.1; } } fragColor=vec4(c*r); }
  13. Hey peeps I made this concept phone in blender, and I would like to hear some critiques about the design and the specs - Android M or newer - 5.5" 1440p AMOLED - Snapdragon 820 - 4GB LPDDR4 - 128GB of storage - Dual MicroSD slot (RAID0 or 1), other can be repurposed for second SIM - Main camera is 16 megapixel 1/2.4" lowlight optimized sensor (RGBW Bayer) - Secondary camera is 4 megapixel with a 180 degree lens for 3D and uber wideangle (and same features as HTC M8 One) - Two LED flashes (Amber and green) and a Xenon flash (Blue-ish) for tritone flash - 180 degree 6 megapixel selfie camera - RGB Indicator led and front flash - Stereo front speakers - Fingerprint sensor - USB type C - 3.5mm jack (duh, I'm smarter than Apple) - CNC cut titanium chassis (Well, still tbd, could be from aluminium, magnesium or some other metal. And possibly premium versions with wooden and leather finish) - IP68 Dust & waterproofing (I need to redesign those speakers) - 4000mWh battery (I know in the renders it says 2460mWh) - Wireless charging - Removeable backcover with a system similar to that found in modern SIM slots, but ability to open it toolessly from software. - Low power radio transmitter for car stereos and wireless headphones (Like Sennheiser headphones) - IR blaster Few renders And here's a little ad I made for it 0028-3679.avi 0028-3679.avi
