  1. Yeah, 30hz is fine, and the tv is capable of it.
  2. Yeah, that's what I'm using, but any color format above ycbcr420 12bpc results in flickering at 60hz. According to the hdmi2.0 chart 4:2:2 12bpc or rgb/4:4:4 8 bit should be possible though. https://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/hdmi_2_0/hdmi_2_0_faq.aspx
  3. Hello, I'm trying to output 4k 60hz ycbcr444 8bpc from a gtx980 to a LG OLED55E7P with this hdmi cable. Even ycbcr422 8bpc doesn't work at 60hz and there should be enough bandwidth for that from my understanding.Currently, I'm stuck running 4k 30hz rgb 12bpc, and any suggestion would be appreciated. Is my cable not good enough since it's too long or faulty?
  4. On the go I usually use klipsch s4, but I also have a pair of 64 A12 that's rarely taken outside.
  5. Jotunheim seems a bit overkill for the pm3, I would just get the ciem tbh. Wait for black friday, 64 audio usually have a 20% sale every year.
  6. Studio Monitor (1 month) -Kef x300a These are great all-in-one setup, but a bit bass-lite and can't upgrade the amp/dac. Headphones -fostex th900 (2 years) Haven't use these in a while after getting the speakers since I don't really need the isolation any more. Still great, but hard to recommend when there's thx00. -64 A12 ciem (1 year) Haven't use these in a long time as I just don't find it very comfortable compare to headphones/speakers and I rarely need the portability, but it still manages to surprise me of how good it is when I do use them.
  7. http://www.head-fi.org/t/534479/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-3-18-2016-mrspeakers-ether-c-1-1-added I'm assuming that's what you're talking about? Like everything on headfi, take it with a grain of salt not gospel. The "competitive" rating is comparing headphones soundstage with VSS, something that is just impossible from my experience and is more dependent on the software used.
  8. How does bass affects soundstage? That doesn't make sense in the first place. Fischer is also a mediocre brand that focuses more on asthetics, many of their headphones are just mods with some wood and pattern thrown it. While dt770 soundstage is honestly just average, I think you're over underestimating it for gaming and it's on par with the clouds. Op also have other criterias like comfort with glasses and non-pleather pads, not everyone is looking to be some wannabe pro gamer that needs maximum soundstage that honestly matters so little unless he wants to go for fully open pair.
  9. Buying headphones worth more than the whole pc is worth it.
  10. Pretty good, there are arguably better in the price range (thx00/he400i) but you're looking for something portable and closed.
  11. Check out oppo pm3, it has somewhat neutral signature, portable, and very well-built.
  12. Why hd700 when hd600/650 are better and cheaper? Don't recommend it just because it's a bigger number...
  13. What's the open box price for them? I'd just pick between the elear, hex, or ether. El-8 is not even the same league as the rest, and lcd2 is destroyed by the elear with better build and comfort and overall sound quality (except for the slight dip in upper mid).
  14. Mdr-1a are quite v-shaped and bass heavy and the msr7 is pretty much what you're looking for with forward mids and trebles. Any reason you're fixated on these two headphones? I'd personally go for the oppo pm3 as previously suggested as I think it's better overall.

    Iem setup

Don't really need o2+odac for iem, not to mention it isnt very portable. I have a pair of 64 A12 that I use straight from my oneplus 3 phone and it works well enough, just spend all on the iem imo.
