  1. The 120mm fans I bought for the cases top vent would be limited light wise to illuminate the inside, or the outside if I used a radiator, and aesthetics was a big part for me. And in all honesty, I won't be overclocking very hard on my cpu, so I couldn't justify an H100i, an H80i does just the trick for me both performance wise, and while maintaing an aesthetically beautiful machine:]
  2. I'll be providing pics as soon as the build begins sometime next week, but I'll also be putting up pics of components in my posts going into detail about my choices.
  3. Definitely, easy as hell to work with, and very aesthetic, goes great with my theme.
  4. done, haha. I even put my review for it up in the member review section. CM Storm Trigger with MX Blacks
  5. Peripherals: Just like the components, I'll name off what is being used, than go more in depth afterwards for my reasoning Monitor: Acer GD235HZBID Black/Orange 2ms 120Hz 3D Monitor Keyboard: CM Storm Trigger w/ Cherry MX Black Switches Mouse: Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Headset: ASUS Vulcan Pro w/ ANC Noise Cancellation
  6. Components: I'll start by naming off the entire builds components, than talking briefly about each one and why I choose that specific part. CPU: Intel core I5-3570k Motherboard: ASUS Maximus V Formula Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 670FTW Signature 2 Case: Coolermaster HAF 922 PSU: Corsair GS800 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (4x2) Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 1tb Disk Drive: ASUS DRW Fans: x2 Aerocool Sharks 120mm x1 Aerocool Shark 140mm CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
  7. So it's finally time to begin my build log. Moments ago, I ordered my final PC components, which should be due for arrival in about 4 days, so I figure start with what I have. Seeing how I don't quite have all my parts yet, I will have to go back and add to posts to update the log and what not, but the overall topic should be very cleaning looking in the end, once all the blank spots are filled in. Also, seeing how this is my FIRST build, I will also be including my peripherals just because they are a major part of the overall build. Would love some feedback, and to hear what you guys think of the build. It was originally planned to be budgeted quite frugally, but as many a build goes, it escalated when I decided to settle for nothing but top notch components. Thanks for reading guys, here's the build:
  8. I'd personally say go for the 660ti, just because I'm an NVIDIA fanboy and refuse to buy anything else, but the Radeon card is quite good. Though, I really like the ASUS cards just because of their aesthetics and cooling, so just one more plus for the 660ti.
  9. Not that big a deal, but clipping, like when objects are simply going thru one another like when you walk into a wall and half your gun barrel is just gone, or like if a character has a cape and like parts of their equipment or body clips thru. It's not big, but if a developer is spending so much time and effort to make a game look pristine, than they should atleast work out tiny clips like that, imo.
  10. I agree, Valve has done an excellent job enhancing the experience, which is why it grew on me so quick. LoL I feel is much more of a light-hearted MOBA, or at least to me. I can jump in and not stress as much, not that I don't care about it, but it's just how the game makes me feel. But when DOTA 2 is on, I'm all in it to win it! Feel way more competitive
  11. Seems to be a lot to choose from when I look around. Currently play quite a bit of League of Legends, but getting into DOTA 2 now. HON looks nice as well, but don't want to get into too many MOBAs, haha. What do you guys play, or why do you prefer what you play compared to others?
  12. Besides school and work, working out and going to raves/ music festivals are my thing, well, other than computers of course.
