  1. Either way doesn't matter. However, If I were to get an amp, it would have to be included in the budget of $500.
  2. I am looking for speaker for my computer under $500. These will being going on my desk, so I don't have unlimited space. Also I much prefer a 2.1 setup over 2.0 (the sub will be going on the ground near my desk) I don't mind buying the sub and speakers separately. I already have a O2 Dac&Amp (http://www.jdslabs.com/products/48/o2-odac-combo/) which I use for my headphones, which I will be using with these speakers. (I don't know if this means a passive setup would be better?) They will be used for watching movies and gaming.
  3. Im pretty happy with this. Got 4.5 at 1.22V running at around 60 degrees across all cores after 1 hour of aida64. The aida64 temps seemed more reasonable.
  4. Hi I am overclocking my cpu, and in AI suite, when I run prime 95, it instantly jumps the temps to 90 degrees, and then as soon as I stop prime95 it jumps back down to 30 degrees. This doesn't seem right to me. I have a temp probe, but I don't know how to get accurate readings with it. I put it on my cpu waterblock, and with prime 95 running it showed 37 degrees. Is there some where special I can put it to get the most accurate reading? Anyways I was wondering if these temps that AI suite is showing is accurate, in which case my overclock is obviously too high. Thanks

    Modmic 4.0 help

So I just received my dt-990s (which are amazing btw), o2+odac combo and modmic 4.0 The modmic is extremely quiet and there is a lot of white noise using the onboard sound card on my maximus formula. I'm trying to put the mic into the o2+odac combo but I cant get it to recognize it. Is the right most input a mic input? Is there something special you need to do to use this as the mic? The headphones worked as soon as I plugged them in, but maybe for the mic you need to do something. Other than that, any suggestions on how to increase the sound, without using artificial level boost since it causes a lot of noise. Maybe there is a setting somewhere that can reduce the quality? Btw, Im use the mic facing the right way
  9. After doing additonal research I think I'm going for the dt990s and o2+odac combo (http://www.jdslabs.com/products/48/o2-odac-combo/) Now my question is, is there really a difference between the pros and premium. As far as I can tell, the sound is exact same, but the premiums are more comfortable. Can you recommend me what to do, as comfort is extremely important to me. Also, since I will be getting the o2 amp/odac combo anyway, I will have enough power, so should I get the 600ohm or 250ohm? thanks again
  10. What are your opinions on the akg k702/k701/ q701 and ad900? I heard that these are great options
  11. Hi I am looking to buy a new sound system for my pc. I am looking for buying headphones and a DAC (as far as I can tell from reading up online this is a far better option then a sound card. but if you have experience, and you think that this will not be an advantage, or maybe some other solution is better, please suggest.) I am currently using a Asus ROG Formula VI with the onboard sound card. I want this mostly for playing games, and I want good positioning and high quality music. I also listen to some music, but gaming is the priority as far as specs. Also I need for the headphones to be light and comfortable, since I will be using them for long periods of time. I also prefer headphones that can cancel out the background noise, but I don't want to lose sound quality for some fancy active noise cancellation. I am looking for a budget of $450 but if something is a lot better for a bit more money I am willing to go for it. Thanks
  12. okay I booted again and there was no boot loop but still the a2 error. cleared cmos, and still no display. How could the video card being plugged in stop there from being display when Im connected to the onboard display.
  13. I disconnect my gpu and reconnect it and now I'm back to the A2 error and no display. Also when my gpu was disconnect I was able to get display to go into bios, but couldn't boot into windows. Also when I boot up my pc, it turns on for about 1-2 seconds turns off and turns back on again. I'm going crazy right now. wtf is going wrong?
  14. Hi I recently installed my new graphics card in my mobo and first time I turned it on I got a 64 error on my mobo. I got no display. I then tried to use the motherboards hdmi for output and no luck and had a A2 error. Tried to remove the graphics card and no luck. Cleared cmos, and flashed the bios and now I have a 99 error, and still no display. My system was working perfectly fine before I installed the graphics card, and now it won't even boot to show bios. Any ideas?
