Hey guys i have been getting power surges on and off for like 2 months now i have never had a problem before this , the pc will just randomly shut down and restart sometimes it just sits in a restart cycle until i urn the power off .
i have monitored temps on evrything nothing overheats sometimes i can go a week playing a game with gpus and cpu both overclocked and no problems , other times i will be browsing facebook and it shuts off so i think this rules out needing a higher rated psu ,
i have contacted corsair and they have agreed to replace the psu but this morning i was rewiring the whole comnputer looking for any problems and i found one , the red cable on the power connector for my LED fdan controller is loose if i pull it gently a certain way the fan controller does not work this has not shorterd my pc and hasn't tripped asus anti surge as of yet but my quiestion is this , is it possible that this is my problem and not my psu ?????
My specs are
