  1. Ok, I've renew my list: CPU: Intel Core i5-4690k 3.5GHz 6MB Sk1150 - 249,90 € (I'll try to learn how to overclock ) Motherboard: MSI Z97-GD65 GAMING - 170,90 € (or the GAMING 5, I've chosen this one on looks because it was only 10€ more than the Gaming 5) GPU: Asus STRIX-GTX970 - 399,90 € ( The GTX 980 is almost 300€ more than the 970. I could buy a second 970 for that ) Ram: Gskill Ripjaws DDR3-1866MHz 8GB - 59,90 € (I wanted a trusted brand, so) CPU cooler: WC Corsair Hydro Series H75 - 89,90 € (I wanted to maintain the water cooling because of looks, so I went with a smaller one from a known brand. Do you think this works with the overclocked CPU? ) Power:Corsair RM750W - 146,90 € SSD: SSSD Samsung 2.5" 850 Evo 250GB - 129,90 € SATA: Western Digital Green 1TB SATA III 64MB - 60,90 € Total: 908.3€ @BigDay : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qWNJQ7 @Starelementpoke : I don't know the model that you are referring to so I heres a list of all the 390 available at the store and their prices: Asus R9 390X-DC2-8GD5 - 509,90 € MSI R9 390X Gaming 8GB - 499,90 € Asus R9 390-DC2-8GD5 - 399,90 € MSI R9 390 Gaming 8GB - 396,90 € Gigabyte R9 390 8GB GDDR5 - 377,91 € So, the question, How do you think a machine like this will handle GTA V for example?
  2. Thank you for your quick replies. The water cooling was in some way to prevent the ram not fitting, making my choices easier, and it looks good . I'll redo the list in a bit with the part picker link in just a bit.
  3. Hello everyone, I've been considering buying a new pc for a while now and decided it was time for me to get around on choosing what I need. I've never been that pc guy and my knowledge about pc parts and building was not entirely there, to say the least . Thats how I found Linus and his incredible helpful tips. After watching many videos, everything from builds to Tech quickies, to create some knowledge about what I was exactly spending my money at I decided to go and pick up everything that I like at my favorite shop, which has the lowest prices in my Country and lucky it is a 30 minute drive from my workplace. Here's the Items I chose with the price that I will pay (€) and converted by an Internet converter to US Dollars: CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz 8MB Sk1150 - 325,00 € - 352.56$ Motherboard: Asus Z97 Maximus VII Hero - 215,90 € - 234.21$ GPU: Asus STRIX-GTX970 - 399,90 € - 433.81$ Ram: Gskill Trident X DDR3-2400MHz 2x4GB - 80,90 € - 87.76$ CPU cooler: WC Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX - 139,90 € - 151.76$ Power:*Corsair RM550W - 119,90 € - 130.07$ SSD: SSD Samsung 2.5" 850 Evo 120GB - 81,91 € - 88.85$ SATA: Western Digital Green 1TB SATA III 64MB - 60,90 €- 66.06$ Case: choosing depending on overall price. Price- 1424.31€ - 1545.08$ *(I choose the Power supply based on Linus Techquickie that was explaining how to find out how much watts do you need. I went to coolermasters website and it gave me around 400W. I choosed that one just because of the fully modular even though I can choose a"Cooler Master V550 Semi-Modular" for less 20€) I'm comfortable with the price range but I keep wondering if I'm really spending the money wisely, by that I mean spending the money on parts with inferior performance when compared with lower priced parts, That's why the post. My main Objective is to have a PC that will be able to handle games for the next 2 years, doesn't matter if I end up playing them at minimum Kind regards
