I have the 27" Acer version. Pretty awesome, but only e-sports games will hit 240. 240fps is incredibly smooth, but the difference between 240 and 120 is not nearly as dramatic as 60 to 120.

Just for reference, TN panels receive a lot of hate because older versions sucked complete ass for color reproduction and viewing angles. Modern TN though has gotten a lot better, but most people haven't had the chance to see one or just bought an IPS instead. IPS and other tech is still better for color reproduction, but the "downsides" of going TN aren't nearly as bad as they once were.

If it's anything like the Predator (which it certainly looks like) then yes. It's essentially one of their copper rads, D5 PWM pump, and a small reservoir in a nice housing with a custom PCB to power the fans. All of these use standard fittings and you can essentially customize this into a low profile custom loop. That's why I have the Predator 360. Custom loop cooling and customization, and low profile looks.

The fittings aren't the easiest to get a hold of, but they are obtainable from other online sources.

They are excellent connections. Like really really good. Designed specifically for medical use with no drips allowed when disconnecting. Flow is basically uninterrupted too.

I have the original EK Predator 360 with these connections, and bought some more so I could customize stuff. They work awesome, but are not easy to get a hold of. Quite expensive too.

This MLC looks close to the old Predator pump/rad combo wise. It's worth it. Definitely a nice setup.

Masada02 reacted to Darkseth in will my i7 4820K Bottleneck GTX 1080Ti ?
    1. What bottlenecks and how much, depends on your software + settings. This question can NOT be answered in general ;-)
There are games, where you sit in a GPU Bottleneck in 720p. And there are games, where even 1000€ Intel CPUs are bottlenecking in 4k Ultra.

But if i had to guess: For most usal games in 2560x1440, and aiming for a 60 fps target, you should be perfectly fine.

    2. Does your CPU deliver enough fps for you?
Set resolution to 720p, and graphic details on low. Should be enough to let you hit CPU Limit (GPU usage should fall below 100%). Are these fps, you see, enough for you?
If yes, you have your answer.
It doesn't matter if you use a GTX 750, or GTX 1080 ti, or a Quad SLI setup of titan Xp. Your Graphic Card does NOT change the number of fps, your CPU is able to render.

    3. If your CPU delivers enough fps for YOU, then it doesn't matter if your GPU is not bottlenecked, bottlenecked by 5%, or 20%. You have enough fps.
If your CPU does NOT deliver enough fps for you, then why are you talking about the GPU? ;-) GPU is not interesting in that example, because your CPU alone is the problem. And it won't deliver enough fps, no matter what GPU you use.

Masada02 got a reaction from PhaseShift in Bottlenecks.. still not clear cut like people think they are.
As soon as I heard him say he was going to use Superposition to test CPUs any of his findings became completely irrelevant. Superposition is completely based around the GPU and it's kind of impressive how little it cares about whatever CPU you run. That makes it completely useless for a test like this. Even more so, trying to test "bottlenecking" without a huge swath of games is pointless. Take for instance BF1 that loves more threads more than IPC and would play awesome on something like a 1700, but then another game like Arma 3 that thrives on single core performance will suck ass on that same CPU when compared to something like a 7700k.

My point is, it's impossible to define whether a certain CPU is enough to drive a certain GPU in a broad sense. The best way to pick these two components is to put together a "use case" (the games or tasks you want to do and HOW you want to do them) and then pick based on what gives you the best average.

A 7700k at *pick a frequency* will ALWAYS hold a *pick your favorite GPU* back at SOMETHING. You just have to decide whether that something means something to you.

Jesus I hate the term "bottlenecking."
