    no Ive not overcloked the cpu.. was thinking of doing things one at a time. Due cpu and memory have to be overclocked at the same time? In asus bios isnt there a simple way to overclock cpu? I have not enabled X.M.P profile #1 because I dont know whats in that profile. Thanks for your help

    So I have 2666Mhz DDR4 and my Asus x99 pro default speed is 2133mhz. When I go into bios>advanced>Aitweeker> Dram Freq. and set it to 2666Mhz the system will not boot. Q code leds read "bd" and the Dram led lights up red.... so Im doin something wrong.. not much in this mobo manual... can you guys help? System works fine otherwise.. Im doing renders inVue on this it renders much faster than last computer...     Running the cd that came with the motherboard... it came up ERROR software not compatible with operating system... or something like that. downloaded drivers from asus.... only 4 installed the rest.... like 14 others failed for one reason or another. called asus twice... they say its windows 10... nothing they can do... idk people i dont like this

    Hmm no I did not install mobo drivers... did not know they existed... thanks have disk but no drive in here Ill go look at asus site for mobo drivers. thank you

    See attatched picture... New build.. Asus x99 pro with 5820k... jus installed windows 10.. What am I to do about all these device errors??? What would you do? Thanks

    I have a question about hooking up fans to a Asus x99 pro motherbroard. My overall cooling strategy is: an Enthoo Luxe case with a 200m fan in the front a140m fan in the back. In the top of the case for cpu cooling will be a Swiftech H220-X, it has qty 2-140m fans as you probably know... These are the connections off the motherboard: 1 x CPU Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin) 1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin) 4 x Chassis Fan connector(s) (4 x 4 -pin) A fan controller came with the Enthoo Luxe case as well that can support 6 fans. im not sure I need this but it came with the case Other components... (5820K cpu)(EVGA GTX 970 SC)(AX760) THE QUESTION: Im just not sure what makes the most sense in how to hook these fans up. Is there one configuration that stands above the rest??? ...or not so much. Thanks for your help

    Im under the impression that overclocking is easier on the ASUS than the say MSI or Gigabyte.. Any thoughts?

    I need the most cores for the buck... 5820 is for me... I am most familiar with ASUS brds from the videos... lots of overclocking guides for asus.. What would replace a ASUS x99pro? any suggestions

    After several hundred hours of youtube computer "how-to" vids. Today I am ready to start buying parts. Sadly my motherbrd... an ASUS x99 pro isnt availible from amazon or newegg or superbiix...? I can get it from smaller vendors if I want to spend allot more but I dont want to spend allot more... My question to all you fine folks is this.. Are we on the cusp of new ASUS x99 boards or something... where are these boards at...??

    Me too... I feel your pain brother...! I also need to find a card that run open Gl for my rendering program (Vue Infinite). and run some games decently. I could also use some help understanding the difference between utilizing hardware and software open Gl. Anybody got any insight on where we can find out more info.???? thanks mike
