I too remember that kinda feeling when we dropped to 12th or something like that, I made it my mission to restore the glory to the team after a good while of bad management... Well... Here we are!

My EVGA 1060 6GB short board presently in my workstation hits 72C with a 70% fan at 21-25C ambient.

My EVGA 1060 6GB SC2 dual Fan which is the lower card in my main folding rig hits 59-62C at 70% fan.

Both produce 390-440K depending on the WU

I’ve been impressed with the 2070. It’s hitting 58-61C at 70% fan 1.2-1.3M PPD in my test box but it has great better airflow compared to the other two systems.

If NVidia comes out with a 2060 it could be a really nice card for efficient folding depending on the price point.  I’m guessing $350-400US given the current pricing trends.

Yeah I have been waiting for a 2060 as that may work for a cheaper way for me to upgrade from a 970, but will wait for the trusted reviews see how it goes.

TBH, I really want to have a new 24/7 card....  Atm... These maxwell cards are starting to show their age in heat output...

i feel yeah. with it being at 20c my gtx960 mini would hit about 61c with fan set at 80% and getting 180k ppd
my newish hand me down gtx970 2 fans, with fan at 80% hits about 67c and getting 350k to 400k ppd.

Might be just bad luck, but I've had too many Seagate drives fail over the years, I don't trust them at all anymore.  WD for HDD, currently two different SSD in two systems, crucial MX in my laptop 2+years, newer PNY in my desktop... We'll see which one dies first, I guess.

Please forgive my off-topic post... Reading about Seagate failures always triggers me...

Oh i understand, i replaced the with a WD black drive and that one has yet to fail me. I am guessing it was bad luck or the line wasn't QAed as much as Seagate replaced that line.

  5. So when running F@H MY GPU will run at 1163 MHz, if i run like Netflix or YouTube it will jump to my max of 1470 MHz, only way i can tell to fix the issue is to run the protein viewer then it will run 1470 MHz all the time. but the viewer crashes often.
am running GTX 960 4GB and windows 10. is there a better fix for this issue? anyone else have this issue?
