  1. Hi, consult the GPU manual if there's a switch on the card itself that enables some sort of silent mode and check the fan settings in Radeon Software. If everything seems normal, try to uninstall the drivers and the video card itself and see if that helps. If nothing helps I suggest you contact the manufacturer support.
  2. as @Slottr said, look out for sales
  3. I was literally in the middle of writing the same suggestion, I got it for my dad and he absolutely loves it.
  4. Mind the PSU though, you might want to go with a 650W unit for an X99 build.
  5. I think an i5 is good enough for gaming, even at 1440p. However, maybe you should consider going with the Z270 chipset and Kaby Lake since the pricing is pretty much identical, @jamesfindlay3
  6. Okay, just saying the 2TB Seagate Barracuda (for example) has better price/capacity ratio, which for me is the main attribute for storage
  7. Hi, I think it's just fine, maybe you could get a bigger HDD for not much more money. Also, do you really need all those fans?
  8. The Ryzen line of CPUs has not even been launched yet, much less benchmarked and tested. I'd suggest you wait and see what the actual performance delta really is when production SKUs start hitting the shelves.
  9. Exactly. PCIE SSDs are much faster than their SATA counterparts. I'd recommend getting the PCIe SSD for boot drive and a large SATA SSD for bulk storage and other programs, if you can afford it, otherwise go for a HDD. I'd also recommend some sort of a redundant setup for your drives, such as RAID1, so you'd be protected against data loss in case of a hardware failure
  10. Do you absolutely need a headset? How about the Sennheiser open back design headphones? Alternatively, if you're willing to step it up a bit in the price department, there's the Sennheiser G4ME ONE which is open back, so you should be able to hear your surroundings.
  11. I have the 8GB version and play on 1440p Ultrawide, which is about a third more pixels than standard 1440p, and I get anywhere from 45-ish (in demanding combat scenes) to 65 FPS, so you might be better of with the 8GB version.
  12. Hi, if it doesn't have to be free (or you have some similar program already), the Paragon disk manager is a sound choice. It lets you migrate the OS only, copy the whole drive, it has number of back up features and so on.
  13. RX480 will set you up too with its 8GB of VRAM.
  14. Hi, overall seems good, however, the CPU isn't a good value, the i5 6500 is better for the money. I'd also suggest 16GB of RAM in ONE stick, so you can upgrade in the future.
  15. You can get better price/capacity if you go with 2TB harddrive, and it will last you longer (depending on your current and possible future storage needs) Does this mean that you plan to have 16GB of RAM?
  16. Hi, please specify your budget, to see how much we can optimize this build. All in all, it's pretty well balanced.
  17. There are TWO types of these devices: TP link C2 AC750: Gigabit LAN TP link C20 AC750: 100Mb LAN @Kyonkanno please specify which one do you have
  18. Hi, steps: 1. make sure all your power cables are plugged in correctly... 2. make sure the graphics card/RAM/SSD is plugged in correctly... 3. Disable all overclocks... 4. if your board has additional power plug, plug it in... 5. try a different PSU... ...and see if the issue persists.
  19. Go small, Czech this out: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/vojta.pokorny/saved/#view=sNQzyc At any rate, I would suggest getting a better PSU, at least the CX450M grey, to get rid of unnecessary cables (Yes I know the Mastercase 5 has a basement)
  20. What is the purpose of this build? What will you be doing with the PC?
  21. You could just as well burn the money you'd spend on the second SSD, the speed increase won't be noticeable in daily use applications and RAID0 is really dangerous unless you want to back up your data daily or more frequently. Even if the board would support RAID with PCIe adapter card. As for your question, running graphics cards at x8 speeds will not yield noticeable (if any) performance issues.
  22. Czech this out, mainly a better power supply (the green Corsair unit is not good) and double HDD capacity for the same price (total storage):
