Hi everyone, Been a while since i've posted anything here but i've been having a LOT of issues with windows these past few days haha.
My laptop (HP Omen 17, pretty old, running windows 10 pro) had been consistently bluescreening after post with the error "Process1 Initialization failed", heading into the windows recovery menu after a few incorrect startups. Auto repairing the disk fails, both online and offline resets fail and i can't even recover from windows media (as i want to keep my files). as a punt i tried
chkdsk c: /r /x"
and even though chkdsk failed at stage 4 for some reason it allows me to boot to windows (I assume after fixing enough stuff to get it running). This has happened twice now, and i can't get in until i run chkdsk. What would be the best way to make these repairs to my disk permanent/any words of wisdom as i'm a bit out of my depth on windows boot stuff.
Many thanks!
