  1. Yes. I did try booting with no ram or gpu and got a no memory code. Booted with gpu and no ram and got the same thing. Plugged ram but no gpu and got the original code. Replaced mobo, ram and cpu and works fine. I've gotten a support ticket with EVGA and they said the mobo has a switch to go back to a previous bios. Once I get some time I will give it a shot as I'm pretty sure my mobo has just died, but am curious.
  2. The last thing I can think of is I noticed that my Corsair vengeance memory is no longer on the compatibility list that Evga provides. Could it be now that the BIOS is updated that now it reflects that list? I will have to find some other memory to try it out
  3. Yeah I will take a look. I’ve had it for at least 3 years so I doubt it. Google, because google is always right. Not really. I did not check the PSU, and I had the issue prior to upgrading to a 1070. The OS is always buggy being Windows 10 so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Windows or graphics driver. Yeah I do understand your frustration.
  4. Fffffffff. I was afraid so. I will have to bring it up to Evga
  5. Yes I’m confused as well. I was having issues where my PC was freezing every so often when just playing a light game like League of Legends and my temps only being in the low 60s. After googling I was getting told to update my motherboard bios to the latest rev. After going on the EVGA website and grabbing the latest and running the BAT file it rebooted my conputer. Now it won’t boot at all. It runs through the codes and stops at 4F and beeps 3 times pauses and 3 more times. After searching I’ve read bad memory. This is what I’ve tried: I’ve unplugged everything from the computer Pulled out gpu Pulled out ram and got a no memory boot code Put in one in slot 1 got the original fault, and did the same in each slot with each 8GB sticks. Tried pressing cmos reset Tried holding cmos reset Build is in profile. Let me know if you have any questions or input. Literally about to just throw it in the trash.?
  6. Thanks everyone for the input! I have a Asus ROG Strix 1070
  7. Hello all, I'm curious if upgrading would be worth it, or to wait until next gen. This system is mainly used for gaming. I’ve researched and found that the 8700k may not be too much better but does keep the temps down. What’re your opinions? Current: z97 mobo 16gb ddr3 i7 4790k Upgrade: z370 mobo 16gb ddr4 i7 8700k
  8. Dang I appreciate the information and input! I’ve never heard of them. I’ll definitely look into it!
  9. Hey everyone. I’m in a spot where I’d like to get a little synced music flowing throughout the home. I have a decent theater system upstairs with WiFi, a sound bar downstairs that I can pair with Chromecast. What I was looking for is something to fill a dead corner or 2. I mean, is it worth spending $200+ on a sonos speaker or just buying a Bluetooth speaker and pairing with Chromecast for half the price? Any input is appreciated.
  10. No it does not. I’ve been told to check the event viewer next time it happens. Previously I have disabled the fast startup due to having issues with the PC not staying powered off. I’ve been told to look at the event viewer next time it happens:/
  11. All, I’m having an issue with my PC. When I try to power down the pc via the start menu. The screen will act like it’s powering down then go black. Then my CPU temps will raise ~40* higher than normal idle temp and stay there until I manual power off PC (i can’t wake up the computer. Must be powered off). This will also happen 7/10 times if I leave my PC idle overnight. Any ideas? PC info in bio and this is on Windows 10. Thanks in advance!
  12. Sorry it is taking so long. I will try as soon as I can
  13. But it protects at all times, and the free version is good enough?
  14. When loading into the game my CPU goes to 100% and my game SSD goes to 30%. Once game loads the CPU hovers around 60-80% while I play and the SSD goes down to 0%. The highest my CPU got to was 65*, same for my GPU. I have a Corsair H100i GTX CPU cooler ChrystalDisk said game SSD was 100%, my operating system SSD was 85% and my data hdd was unknown. While game is on and stream on i have a little under 9gb out of 16gb being used.
