  1. Thats a flowmeter. I am following this build, I like it alot. I also got a Define S
  2. If i knew beforehand. Then Yeah i wouldnt bought it either. But i already have it 6 months
  3. Well you said you had the same rev board and same type of memory. So it should be about the same tho. I hear lots of people having that problem with the MSI cards. Hence you almost see no bios for those laying around (modded versions). The only reason I use a modded over stock is stopping the throttleing what the stock does if you OC. The only thing I heard that worked tho, was shorting 2 things on the card itself, wich removed the TDP Limit.
  4. I had one with 175% power limit. It didnt work, you still hit power limit. The evil thing with MSI 4G 970
  5. I might be able to go higher with the memory, but that will make me hit the power limit easy. Btw your +87mV in afterburner wont work. Atleast it didnt with me. It would still hit vrel and throttle. Or it would hit OV limit, wich is over voltages, anything higher then 24mV would trigger that. Wich will result in a throttle.
  6. So far every test I tried, going above 115% TDP on the MSI 4G 970 will result in power limit. No matter if you have a slider doing 175% (350w). It has spikes obove 120%, but that wont matter it will just throttle then. Seems my rev 1.1 board with hynix mem has a TDP Hard limit. (atleast that is what I conclude) I do have an oc to 1545MHz, with 1.268v and memory to 7776MHz. With that Valley Extreme HD runs within the 115% without throttle. (max doesnt go above 110%) Furmark with 720p preset stress test and 8x MSAA doesnt even reach 90% and has no limit. PS with the current bios I use no vrel limit
  7. The slider to 125% isnt that hard to do tho. But hitting the power limit regardless of that is annoying. I hope Gofspar his trick wil work tho.
  8. If you go a few pages back you will see my v186 stock bios for the msi gaming 4g rev 1.1 board.I would try stuff out for ya.
  9. I will give that a try, thnx
  10. Yeah shame I have an MSI Gaming 4G tho
  11. @Gofspar I took your Gaming G1 stock voltage version. And changed everything in my stock to the same settings. (except TDP, since its locked) Funny thing is, with the stock version I had vrel issue. After modding it to the G1 settings of yours that dissapeared. Now I ofcourse get TDP cap with some overclock. There is no way there is even a bit of setting that can change? Since the TDP settings in stock are higher then the power target. 250.000 (TDP) cq 220.000 (power target) The pci-e rail + the 2 psu rails combined are 313.500, so even more in stock lol. The modded version attched here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_BCHIhWqMgSSTl6TndBdVcyaTQ/view?usp=sharing
  12. Hi Gofspar, The problem with MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G is, that there are several versions of the bios. They are based on the serial numbers https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=184740.0 For my series 09S version 186 is the latest. I would like to test tho As long as it wont brick it lol, anyways I had 182 in it, but for a while already flashed stock 186 wich is for 09S, 03S and 010 in the serial. Here is the vbios https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_BCHIhWqMgScU1lNlVoTTFXMTQ P.S Got a rev 1.1 board with Hynix memory
