Bion1985 got a reaction from whitetea in Gpu length and fitment question.
Hey all wondering if you can help me out. I have the Fractal Design Define C TG. Looking at quite a long GPU (300mm) I use a Corsair H110i cooler. Fractal lists that GPUs as long as 315mm are supported in my case with front fans mounted. Now with an aio mounted up front the card won't fit, but if I move the fans to the outside of the case under the front panel the card should fit. This requires not running the dust filter up front along with my other concern of choking off the front airflow too much. Should I look at a slightly shorter GPU or would the fan configuration up front I mentioned be ok?

Yea I have the case and a new system in it already, just wanting to upgrade the GPU now. The longer cards will fit if the fans are installed under the front panel but think they will be choked off too much that way plus no filter. Wanted the Evga 3 fan 1080ti, but will prob just end up going with the 2 fan SC2.

Yea i noticed that at my parents they are paying for 150mbps but usually get 175-180mbps. I guess I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a mistake getting the 8x4 and that maybe I should of went with the 16x4. But if the 8x4 will provide max speeds at a reliable rate for a decent amount of time without needing upgraded too soon I will stick with it.

Well I made my choice and I ended up getting the open box one sense I was able to find a charger. I also double checked and the unit is in fact under manufacturer warranty.  All in all for a little over  $1500 I got a G752 with a 128gb m.2ssd 16gb of ram and a 980m 4gb.

Edit: ended up finally finding the charger on the Asus store, it will be here tomorrow!

A little less than a year ago when I put together this new system and decided to use this power supply in it, prior to installing it I hit the psu pretty heavy with the canned air to clean it out. Looked nice and clean inside although I didn't physically disassemble it.

If your PSU is still running fine. I'd leave well enough alone. At that age, you might want to CAREFULLY open it and give it blow with some canned air to get rid of accumulated dust, but otherwise, let it be.

I agree with the other posters. A mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches or whatever else floats your boats sounds more fun.

    And there's always STEAM.

nope, only when there is an issue or they've exceeded the limits of the unit. Spend the money on a cool keyboard or maybe a badass joystick like an X52pro.

Thank you. Yea I have considered that since it's already a few years old and in its second build as it is, but held off since it's still working 100% fine as far as I can tell.

Think your right it's best to wait, just though I'd look for forums opinion also since I do have a few bucks I can spare at the moment. I am happy with my system but sort of sucks cause when I built close to a year ago Skylake came out maybe 3 or 4 months later. But honestly don't think I'm missing out major on not running Skylake hardware.

Not terrible I don't think stress testing cpu maybe gets up to the low 80'speed but usually around 78ish I think. Gpu is between 73-80c depending on game. I got 980ti overclocked to 1400 at boost and a 4690k 4.6ghz at 1.28v.

Yea i would love to add another intake but my only option is to mount it to the bottom of the case and have it draw air for the bottom up. Just think those fans look kinda funny just mounted to the floor of the case.

Ok thanks guys, looks like the r7 265 and the r7 370 both perform at or above console performance and graphical settings. So if the 7850 is close to them in performance t should be ok. My only goal with this build was console or above graphical performance and frame rates
