YameteSenpai got a reaction from Hydraxiler32 in i7 6700k or i5 6600k?
If the computer is mostly for gaming, go ahead and do the i5 and 980ti. As it is, your parts certainly aren't lacking any horsepower (except maybe at 4k)

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Jos0109 in Planning on building this next week. Anything I should replace?
You probably save some money on the mobo. Other than that the build looks great.

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Bl00dgod in Best 1440p ultrawide under $800
It could be productivity centered. If you're working more with editing video and audio, screen real estate is much more important than Gsync or Hz.

YameteSenpai reacted to airdeano in nzxt noctis fan hud not working
you'll only need one motherboard connection and one PSU connection (molex) and
then the fans.

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Piemanfood in Which one is better
I think it means that those functions haven't been reviewed. So you could just compare what you need. If you need anymore information, I would recommend the SLI Krait's manual as it is pretty easy to read.

Yeah I've seen the advertisements, but haven't seen much else. Time for some late-night research fun

Not quite sure if I was gonna sell the rig. Might give it to my older brother because his desktop is super outdated.

YameteSenpai reacted to XtraToothpaste in New PC finally!
With tax returns right around the corner, I'm finally going to make this build happen. I was going to build it a long time ago, but I was broke x( Since it's been about 2 months, is there anything that should be changed or updated? Or is this still a solid build? Thanks!

YameteSenpai got a reaction from MeowPappa in Best Graphics card for 100-250 Dollars
It's an ok GPU, but you're better getting off a R9 380X for about $230 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202183&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Video+Cards+-+AMD%2FATI-_-N82E16814202183&gclid=Cj0KEQiAno60BRDt89rAh7qt-4wBEiQASes2tXEUvTC7dHPfEmvfNrwr6wtzOr2N5O5m6-JQlWh78z0aAm9e8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds

YameteSenpai got a reaction from byalexandr in 16:9 vs 21:9
Tha'ts the one I use and can say it has no problems. No backlight bleed or dead pixels, but not that great for viewing black

YameteSenpai got a reaction from r1Ns3 in Painting an EVGA GTX 980
Yeah, use plast-dip because it is removable so you can RMA the card if necessary.
As far as fans go, you would take of the shroud so it's completely separate from the PCB and fans then you paint it. After the coats are done, just put the card back together(usually just a few screws)

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Pandalover3434 in Is this a good all around gaming pic build?

That's what I came up with

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Made In Canada in Windows 10 or Windows 7?
1. Pretty much all modern games are compatible for 7 and future games will be compatible for at least another year or two.
2. I don't actually know, mainly because I never needed windows defender for 7, but it works just fine on 10.
3. Yes

At least your hardware is better. I'm still using Ivy Bridge integrated graphics

YameteSenpai got a reaction from boat in Storage solution for archiving recorded uncompressed vids?
IF you trust WD, then I'd say look into WD Red. Thry're primarily built for RAID configs, so getting one shouldn't be bad. They tend to give similar or better performance to the WD Green in terms of quiet operation.

YameteSenpai got a reaction from babadoctor in Favorite Displays
Right now, my 25" ultrawide 1080p display from LG is gorgeous and I'm absolutely in love with it.
As far as dreams, I'm looking into one of the 1440p 27" displays from Dell

YameteSenpai reacted to zzenigmaxzz in Video card with in a $1500 PC Build budget
with a 1500 budget you can probably get a 980 ti, but it depends on the rest of your specs and your monitor
-
YameteSenpai got a reaction from PlamenDrop in NZXT H440
You could just use an external optical drive. That way you don't have to go off the deep end trying to mod one in.

YameteSenpai got a reaction from Phil6681 in Confused by two of linus videos :O
It depends on the games/applications you're using. For the sake of demonstration, I'll be saying games as they're quite common to talk about. As I said earlier, it really just depends on the games as some games don't have support for SLI or Crossfire, in comparison to some that do. If it was say, GTA 5, you would see an increase in performance. But the SLI can backfire. A 4 way SLI config is horrendous in gaming(typically) due to the fact that most games can't support it.
Edit: In short, you need to look at what kind of games that you'll be playing. Most of the time, 2-way SLI is better. Single GPU will be better usually only when SLI isn't supported or has really trash support.
