  1. -You didn't mention it, but I'm guessing the exit air coming off the fans from the radiator isn't really very warm is it? → Indeed it is pretty cool. -The CPU should NOT be 100 C with barley 35% usage most of the time on a water-cooled setup →This is what was puzzling me. -I don't know if it's the pump speed is much too low, a partial blockage or what →When you said partial blockage, and since I had not run my pc in 2-3 weeks since my gpu died, I thought maybe something might have build up in it (be using it for 7 years) and started to clog the tube due to me not using it for such a long time (as really, it didnt make sense that me changing the gpu would impact the cpu in such a way). So while I could already feel water moving in the pipes, I did give them small taps nontheless while they were running. And tadaaa, and immediately heard the sound of something moving inside it. And as I was hearing that the cpu temps started to cool down, white the air coming out of the fans getting warmer. I tried to run hunt, and the cpu was at a constant 65 degrees. So that was it. The water cooler was just clogged a bit due to not being used for a while. Thank you for your help everyone.
  2. Nobody can help me? T.T reaching 100C under low load. I checked the water cooling system and the pipe leaving the CPU are hot af; and the cone coming back to it is cold, with the fans spinning full speed noz. So I am assuming it is running properly.
  3. Sorry I am not sure I understand what you mean here. The cpu is running below 10% but still manages to have a temperature of 55C minimum. When starting youtube it goes to 70. when in a game it is 90+. While it makes sense for the game due to it being bottlenecking the GPU; I dont see why it is the case when idling.
  4. What I don't get is why would it get hotter even though it is not being used actively. I understand that during games the cpu would need to be working overtime, and hence become hotter, to be able to handle the 4070ti, but in a scenario when I am not using the gpu nor the cpu for anything fancy, why does it have to run so high. Attached a sreen shot of same time temp and activity for the CPU.
  5. Hello everyone, So my old 980ti died a few days ago (see post below): And I replaced it with a 4070ti, with the intention of switching my old i7-6700K to something else down the line. So while I was indeed expecing bottlenecks due to my old CPU (lower than expected fps etc.) I was not expeting my cpu temperature to be this high. I did change the old thermal past and gained a few degrees but still. Currently my cpu runs at 90C playing hunt showdown in ultra 1440p 60 fps. Valheim is the same exept it wont go above 40FPS. When resting, the temperature will be hovering aroud 55C. I use a Corsair H100i GTX to cool the GPU, and never had any issues with it. Are the temps normal (the fans do be super loud now)? I assume it is related to me upgrading the gpu but I do not know the reason. Help T.T edit: Watching YouTube on firefox has highs at 80C oO
  6. Alright will get an AMD then edit: or not, the AMD is 10,000 JPY more expensive here XD
  7. Just checked. In japan the price for a new 6800xt is the same as the 4070ti lol
  8. Yeah I might as well updade the gpu now, and the CPU when it dies at some point... Is NVIDIA Still better than AMD for graphic cards XD (it was back when I bought the 980 ti) Thinking of getting the 4070 ti... Is the motherboard also a cause of bottleneck? Or do I only have to replace the cpu at a later point?
  9. Hi all, So my 980ti died on me and it is therefore time for me to replace it. I run a i7-6700K 4GHz and my mobo is an ASUSTeK Intel Z170 and run everything on a 3440x1440 resolution (monitor refresh rate is 60hz). I would like to get the best graphic card I can get without bottlenecking my cpu as I initially looked at the latest cards, and found out the rest of my system was to be updated if I were to use them. Do you guys have any suggestions? If you think it is also worth it to update the rest of the computer let me know (although I would like to avoid that as I mostly use it for gaming, and I dont mind if all the graphics are not set to ultra). Budget (including currency): less that 100,000 JPY would be great. Country: Japan
  10. It's mostly to watch movies I have stored on my pc, or youtube so no real 3d. The Microsoft wireless adapter looks nice, but it goes on the tv right?
  11. Hey Guys, I would like to know if it's possible to connect my wireless tv (connected to my wifi) to my desktop (connected with lan to the rooter (which is also the wifi rooter)). I would like to screen share what I have on my computer to my tv, but wirelessly. It seems to be possible if the tv and the computer are on the same wifi network, but my desktop has no wifi and is only connectable though lan. I am a but stuck here, but I'd be happy to know if it is even possible to do in the first place. Thx in advance!!
  12. I have reverted to older driver versions of the GPU. I have reverted the windows update, and I just did a fresh install of windows. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone has any idea of what is going on?
  13. I have already reverted windows back to what it was before the update and nothing changed. The hdmi works fine plugged on the GPU and my tv so no need to plugg it on the motherboard. I will try reinstalling the graphic drivers at a later point if no better solution shows up T.T
  14. Hi all, it's been a while! So I had a windows update yesterday night, did it before going to bed. This morning when I turn on my computer, nothing shows on my DELL U3415W connected via DP to the graphic card. The screen stays black a nothing shows up, not even the motherboard logo (impossible to get into the bios). So I do some trouble shooting: I unplugged my DELL and instead plugged my TV on HDMI to the graphic card and no pb, things run smoothly. So I try using the same HDMI cable with my DELL, and the pb happens, all black and can't do anything. So I then reboot everything on my TV and try adding my DELL as a second screen instead, and at the instant I plugged the DELL DP to the graphic card, the main screen (TV on HDMI) freezes. I can't move the mouse or do anything anymore (note that the screen is not black and simply freezes on what it was showing before I plug the DELL). So I unplug the DELL screen to see what happens, and everything goes back to normal. The computer unfreeze and I can use it normally again with the TV screen. So from what I have seen, very low chances of the problem coming from the DP cable, and is either hardware related with the screen being broken, or the windows update I did yesterday fucked things up with the DELL software, or there are some other software problem with the screen... I am really stuck here. I have no idea what to do next T.T I am about to uninstall the windows update. Will let you know how it goes. Update: I uninstalled the latest update, and the problem is still here T.T
