  1. Yeah 1080 or 1080ti very much recommended for 4k gaming. A 1070 is good for 2.5k gaming.
  2. Sounds really weird. Try reinstalling video drivers. I have a 144hz as my main and two 60hz panels as secondaries. Never had that problem.
  3. By the way, unless you run your games in windowed mode which not all games support. You will still have to alt+tab to use your second monitor. Also not all games will keep your mouse locked in the game and when you click on the second monitor it will minimize your game.
  4. Do you have a 144hz monitor? Also don't use onboard video. Why are you overcomplicating this? You just need to go out and buy a cable...
  5. Damn they look good for the price. Might order me some.
  6. No my TN doesn't suck, but you tend to get a more vibrant display with IPS and better viewing angles. I have the Dell S2716DG.
  7. But not all games will have more FPS than Hz and future games are likely to be more demanding.
  8. I have 1440p 144hz Gsync but not IPS. Variable refresh rate is the newest advance in monitor tech and if you are going high end you should definately invest. I slightly regret not spending more and getting an IPS panel.
  9. You can back it all up. Backup your Appdata folder for alot of stuff. Also, I wouldn't rely on it, but when you do a reinstall of windows it will move your old installation and files to a folder called windows.old in the root directory.
  10. Only thing I can really say is check AHCI is selected in BIOS. Failing that, reinstall Windows, sorry. Unless someone else has any ideas.
  11. Lenovo's have a little button "Secure key" or something. Hit that to power on your laptop and it will give you a boot menu. You can choose to enter the BIOS from there. You can also use this button to restore your windows 8 partition if you need to, if you didn't wipe the recovery partition when trying to install 10.
  12. Tried to see what happens when you download a file in a different browser?
  13. Yeah, to be more productive go to the library/computer lab. But a 1440p monitor is nice.
  14. Sorry, forgot we are talking ultrawide 1080p.
