3dmark is not good to show a real scenario, test in games, and you will see a massive drop in frame rates.

The best one on the price range is the RX 480, but between GTX 1060 and GTX 970, you really should get the GTX 1060.

Did you know: we've been using more than 4 cores for a long while now, even without DX12.
 
Regardless, DX12 / Vulkan are APIs, not magic powder. They can better make use of the CPU resources, sure, but that requires nice dev support to be properly implemented. And that's assuming you aren't limited on the GPU either. Not to mention that if the cores are faster (Skylake OCs so much better than Broadwell E, plus the IPC), the gap closes.
 
You want a gaming PC? Then your best bet is the 6700k. Leave the 6800k for people that want to do more than just game.

Yes, if you want GTX 1060 for 249 you probably will have to wait.. a lot, no less than 2 months I believe, but lets see. Personally I would go for RX 480, this "features" of nvidia are mostly not that important.

Its not bad for the price point

The i5 is still over 65% more powerful even with lower clockspeed. 2 cores are MUCH better than hyper threading

The FE is just more expensive, I also dont recommend buying the GTX 1060 anyway, RX 480 has better price performance ratio, but if you really want the GTX 1060, wait some more weeks or months until you can buy custom cards with a nice price.
