The G4560 may beat in older titles, but newer titles that can really use the 4 cores will beat the G4560 easily, I dont see why would somebody buy a dual core right now, expect with lower budget.

$109? Damn, if the Pentium G4560 didnt kill the i3 for good, this will.
 
PS: With this Intel will just make sense with low budget G4560 and for 144HZ with the 7700K, the rest is AMD all the way.

And eth is crashing very hard right now, so there's no point of getting into it. Its current value is only $159.35 (low of $133.07 today).

There are no reasons to buy any i3 right now, and basically no reason to buy any new i5, the only CPUs Intel that make sense right now are G4560 and 7700K(for 144HZ+ gaming).
In your budget I would go for R5 1600, the 2 extra cores will come in handy.

Id get the R5 1600, if you can stretc to it, fast RAM, a B350 mobo (with VRM heatsinks), and keep your 970. It can run newer games just fine. Everything else looks good, and I think the WD Blue SSDs are decent. I think it's the green ones that suck.

you are comparing stock vs overclocked results, also , especially in the case of the i9, you are comparing a stock processor against an overclocked as shit i9 at 4.9 ghz with a 1800mm worth of rads of cooling( taking done12many2 as of example), if you want to compare those 2 results for the same cpu price, you should also say that for the amd one to get to 3000cb it need a 100$ aio loop, the 7900x a 1000$+ worth of custom loop, is somewhat an apple to oranges comparison, even though that intel has a way higher overclock ceiling than amd

@done12many2 is running pretty high end custom loop though , and most people won't be able to reach those temps. 
 
I mean just looking at techspot's article , they couldn't even keep the 7900x under 100C at 4.6ghz 1.2V despite running an h100iv2 .  

Then again you can build an entire R7 1700 computer with every hardware you need, PSU, GPU, Case, MB, RAM, Storage and cooling for the price of the i7 6900k CPU alone.
 
That is the major issue a lot of us costumers have with Intel right now, sure they still make "faster" processors, but they are 100% clueless about the value for money, their cost-benefice is a laugh and we as costumers should really keep giving AMD a go to force Intel to start reconsidering it's market practices better.
 
People should also stop thinking about buying x299 for gaming rigs only, it scares me the amount of people getting these just for gaming, they should understand they are not getting a "ferrari" they are getting a heavy weight truck that doesn't fit their true need.

Gotta be careful though I am pretty sure that the RGB Rainbow Vomit is disable with Kaby-Lake-X limitations.
