  1. What do you want to do with it? If is just computing there are some prebuilt systems that are nice, if you want for the GPIOs I still recommend the pi 3, because of the great community they have.
  2. Yes, and DDR3 is still expensive, even used, and 24GB is a big amount.
  3. Well he can still sell his Computer for a lot, I dont know if the difference will be that high. For 400$ its really not worth, unless he lives in Germany and leave the Computer on all the time
  4. Was one of the main reasons that he wanted to change the CPU.
  5. Yes, but also MUCH higher TDP: https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2014/09/03/intel-core-i7-5930k-and-core-i7-5820k-revie/8
  6. Go for it, I am also thinking about the Ryzen hexa core, the TDP is really impressive, and since you can sell your PC for nice money still, I would do it.
  7. Its from a third party seller, not directly from amazon, but if I dont find another probably I will get anyway
  8. Oh thanks, I will look into it, I just need to check is the keyboard is nice It seems interesting, but the problem is that I didnt find it from a big seller here in Germany, just third party seller on amazon or ebay, I will check the local store this week. I dont know why, but is not that easy to find great laptops here.
  9. @Droidbot Thanks, without USB C is ok, but the problem is that I just found with 4GB RAM without expansion slot @Castdeath97 Thanks, like I said to Droidbot, without USB C is ok ;), the V13 seems really interesting, but I read some reviews that the keyboard is not that great, what do you think about the S13? It has a weaker GPU, but the building seems better.
  10. Hey guys, I am looking for a Laptop that is 13"-11", has a big battery life (8h or more), is Full HD (or higher), has 8GB+(can be even less if ram if upgradable), and also can be charged with USB C. The CPU/GPU is not that relevant, can even in theory be a quad core atom with higher clock, like Pentium N3710, I will use this laptops mostly for writing documents, read pdfs and write programs, I am an Engineering Student, and a have a Xeon Desktop for the hard work with CAD. The price can be 1000$ tops, but I will be happy if is cheaper Thanks a lot.
  11. For 5€ problaby the best thing to do is to buy a Pi zero and use Retropie to emulate all the videogames until the 4th generation. But if you want games, I would get Dishonored
  12. Its decent for 4k, but dont expect every game to run on high, and also, good luck finding a GTX 1080 for a "normal" price.
  13. Hi guys, are somebody here into retro gaming? I just started with it this week with RetroPie on the Pi 3, its really amazing to play or replay some older games, specially the ones in the 16 bit generation. Rightnow I am replaying Chrono Trigger of the SNES. Are you playing something too? Or recommend to play? From the 2nd to the 5th generation of consoles?
  14. RX 470 or GTX 1060, I would try RX 470 because the GTX 1060 should be a lot more expensive.
  15. Under 200 you can get some RX 470 which is way more powerful, but yeah, if you on a budget, RX 460 2GB version is really great, you can get it for like 110$. Dont get the 4GB version, I dont think that 4GB frame buffer will benefit you that much on this price range, 2GB is enough for that GPU.
  16. One of the top 10 of all time imo.
  17. QuackShot, Road Rash (Sega Genesis), Chrono Trigger (SNES), Knights and Merchants (PC)
  18. R9 380x is way better, even the R9 380 is better, but I would look for some RX 470/480.
  19. The problem is that most of them are 1GB, and the ones with 2GB, are with lower speed memory.
  20. Without counting freesync/gsync, the GTX 1060 seems better, but if you want freesync/gsync I would get the RX 480, freesync is a lot cheaper.
  21. And how much the GTX 1060 costs? Please quote if you want answers.
  22. 370$ for a GTX 1060? Oh, you should look for some RX 480/470 then. 750W is overkill, unless you want to do SLI, the rest seems good. PS: If you want 1440p, you will need to upgrade your computer ofter.
