  1. I believe that displayport can only transmit 8K 60HZ with some extra lossy compression.
  2. 7680×4320 = 33M+ pixels 11520x6480 = 74M+ pixels, its more than double the 8K. PS: For comparation, 1080p =2M+ and 4K = 8M+

  4. Will take ages to the mainstream market to have a GPU to play games at 12K, and the video file sizes for 12K H265 are going to be huge. I dont see why we should migrate to 12K, since we barely notice the difference from 1080p to 4K in videos anyway (Of course in Games its way easier to notice). I think we should improve overall quality, with HDR and etc, not just increase resolution.
  5. Cool, cant wait for my 12k smartphone. Jk, I barely notice the difference from 720p to 1440p on a 5" device
  6. It doesnt has the double the cores, FX 6300 has 6, Ryzen 7 1700 has 8, but they are way better cores, and with HT.
  7. Yes, R7 1700 is the best CPU for video editing in this price range. I dont know even how to compare FX 6300 to a R7 1700, its probably like 3x faster.
  8. Are you having thermals problems? Delidding can be really risky.
  9. Its playing at 40 fps range, Witcher 3 uses 8 threads and its more GPU bound, which means that Witcher 3 needs better GPUs than CPUs. But hey, just buy a GPU with your CPU and try it, if you notice that it doesnt play well, you can always change the CPU later.
  10. Maybe some people would risk it, but I would get a GTX 1050 Ti in this case.
  11. Hmm, then yes, probably its a good combo, it should work with a RX 470, but its better to dont push the PSU like that, the CPU has 95W TDP already.
  12. Getting a used one right? If not, I dont recommend getting a GTX 1050 Ti, get a RX 470 instead(or RX 570, but they are expensive rightnow). Getting a 1080p is a must, you will see MASSIVE improvements in image quality from 1280x1024. PS: Whats your budget? and where do you live?
  13. 2.7Ghz @ 3.4 Ghz And the Xeon is being overclocked. PS: He wrote "XEON E6540 ", but thats a typo.
  14. GTA V is a 8 threaded game.
  15. In a 4-1 threaded game (most of them are, but its getting better), I expect the i5 to be around 40% faster than the Xeon, the i5 has newer architecture and higher clock. But in 6-8 threaded, the Xeon may be on par, because it has HT.
  16. If the game uses 8 threads, the Xeon will be on par with the i5, if the game uses 4 threads or less, the i5 will bet the Xeon easily.
  17. I said that will be a botteneck, I think you are underestimating a GTX 1070, it is as powerfull as a Titan X from a generation ago. Even a i7 k haswell can botteneck at 1080p.
  18. Well you can get an i5 second hand for kinda cheap(that still will botteneck, but way less), or some i7 K, but i3 3,4 Ghz with a high-end GPU is simply not a great combo. If you sell your i3 you can get some second hand i5 for really cheap.
  19. PCIE 4 is maybe worth waiting, since PCIE 4 graphics cards will not be compatible with PCIe 3 motherboards, and will probably be available next year. But if I needed a PC right now, I would upgrade to a Ryzen R5 1600, for me is not worth the waiting.
  20. Thats what I am saying... you cant just pick a Haswell 3,4 Ghz and says that it performs the same as a 3,5Ghz Kaby Lake.
  21. It doesnt, it uses more, but 1440p uses way more GPU than 1080p.
  22. You cant compare 1:1 a Kaby Lake 3,5Ghz to a Haswell 3,4Ghz, the difference may be small, but 40 fps to 33 fps is a big deal.
  23. Still the i3 should be considerable slower, its 2 generation older and it has 100mhz less.
  24. Its gonna be a really big botteneck, almost in every game will botteneck, some will perform even worse than a GTX 1060 with a i5. PS: DDR5 will probably just be available to normal consumers in 2020.
  25. And you are forgetting the price of the mb, which will probably be 200€ or higher. You can get a decent Ryzen mb for 80€. You are compering a 800€ combo to a 350€, like saying that my PC beats a PS4. Ryzen 1800x doesnt compensates, 1700 is way better for the price
