Fujifilm Cameras handle really well but they dont get the best images
if you must have mirror-less then sony's will get better image quality although personally I prefer fuji but only the range finder ones (XPro 1 or X100T).

well effective "frame" rate of 60i is still 60 frames per second, just that each frame contains only half the information interlaced.

okay I'm getting an A7SII with some f1.4 glass for those lowlight skype calls with my gf. 

I can agree with that, I probably wouldnt buy samsung untill all the stuff about them exiting the camera business clears up. 
 
in the mean time, if you want a great dslr for the price, pentax?

To me your photos are holiday photos.  Nothing more can be said.  Come back when you've taken a photo that tells a story or shows something that conveys an emotion.  Humor, intrigue, curiosity, rage, love, hate, etc.

Not really unless you want the camera to select an point for you, you'll use the center at point 99% of the time

I'd actually recommend getting used gear to start. 
 
you could realistically find a decent copy of a Nikon D300 within your budget, and pick up something like a Tamron 28-75 f2.8. the sensor is not as good as a d3300 but you'll be getting a pro body, with pro controls, and you'll have a much easier time getting out of auto. also the lens will be miles ahead of your kit lens.

Canon develops their own sensors, as for actually manufacturing I believe they use a combination of in house and outsourcing, sort of like what apple does with their ARM chips. 
 
Nikon sometimes make their own sensors, but also sometimes gets it from sony or toshiba. For instance, the D7100 is a toshiba sensor, the D5300 is a Sony sensor, and the D3300 is a Nikon sensor.
 
as for Silicon, it's the 7th most plentiful element on earth and it doesnt just come from sand, also I'm sure japan doesnt manufacture all their silicon in the country, they'd probably get most of it from China or India. 
 
Sony is the dominant player in Image sensor tech, the amount of sensors needed for phones, tablets, CCTV, Webcams, etc. etc. far outweighs the amount needed for DSLRs and Mirrorless. If Sony pulled out, and they probably wouldn't since it's about the only thing making them $$ atm, there would be issues with manufacturers getting parts for their products, not necessarily Pro Camera manufacturers but other things. However even if Sony did exit the sensor business they would need to sell it to someone else who would presumably continue to supply the world with the parts. 

use lots of lube and go slow, that's what I do. 

If your primary need is to record video then I'd recommend getting a panasonic GH3 instead, it's similar in price but has much better video features.

no I mean I don't mind paying for a licence, even after I do it's still strangely easier to just use the pirated version because MS BS. 
I've had less OS issues running hackintosh.....
