TTesla got a reaction from Riza Mae in Uses For 32GB Of RAM?
Currently have 16gb, and looking for a good excuse to buy 16 more since prices are really good right now...
The longer the list, the more likely I find one of the uses useful.

Windows on a Pi for what the OP needs is incredibly useless.

TTesla reacted to aisle9 in Ultrabook VS Cheaper Clunky "Gaming" Laptop
I hardly ever look at her laptop, but it stands out like a sore thumb to me. Keep in mind this is an older, chunkier, less premium laptop compared to what you're looking at. Look at reviews of older versions of that same laptop, or see what owners are saying about it today to see if older ones have the same problem.

Now I can't even boot in, I wait 30-40 seconds on the bios screen, then it just restarts, rinse and repeat.

Changed the ports the new SATA drives were connected to, and everything is now fine. I think. At least for now, until 5 min from now when it just decides it's dead...

TTesla got a reaction from Ben17 in 60+ Sec Stuck On Bios Screen Before Each Boot
So I just installed 16gb more RAM, and it's correctly in and running at the right speed. I also installed a NVMe drive and another SATA SSD, both working fine.
Suddenly, it takes 60+ seconds to get past the initial screen with the Press Del for Bios, the Gigabyte Logo, etc. I have fast boot on, the same OS drive as #1 in the boot order, and CSM off... No clue what's causing this
Edit: This is a gigabyte Z390M Gaming

Rarely. If you have a SSD, you can spare your SSD some wear by explicitly not having the page file on it. What I'm getting at here is that turning the page file off is an option with 32GB of RAM. Windows might otherwise page out applications or parts of itself when you near a low-memory situation, and that tends to make the machine difficult to regain control over if it page-thrashes. Hence if you set it to zero, whatever is leaking memory will just spit out an error about unable to allocate additional memory and exit. So if you have something that isn't written well and is leaking memory it will let you know.
So far that tends to be Chrome tabs that have infinite scrolling/refresh type of scripts going on, and Chrome at least just crashes the tab rather than the entire browser.
For some games that use as much RAM as possible, you might not be able to get away with turning the page file off. Then there is also Suspend-to-disk and Suspend-to-RAM type of features that may not work correctly if page file isn't at least the size of the system memory.

TTesla reacted to Origami Cactus in Manufacturer of RAM Brands
Both. Usually brands have sticks made from all manufacturers, so you have to view who made the SKU (model) of ram stick you are looking at. Maybe there is a Brand who only relies on a single manufacturer, but i don't know.

Crucial and klevv should be micron and hynix only(don't quote me on this) respectively since crucial is under micron and klevv is under hynix, but otherwise everyone else would be using a mix of the big OEMs.

Try the paper towel mod, which helps hold on lose keys. Tear a very small piece of paper towel, about 2 or 3 mm across, just slightly larger then the top of the stabilizer stem. Slightly moisten it and place it on top of the stabilizer + then place the keycap back on. If it goes well it should have a more snug fit.

Great idea! Then I can actually just straight up follow the video, mix towels & blankets / whatever is cheap, and cover it with a cool print! This seems like a fun project too!

If you really want that frame look, if you go to a large hardware store that cuts wood, you can give them the dimensions of the pieces you need cut and they'll do it for you- then you just put it together
