I have a pretty powerful, pc 6800k oc 3.7 on all cores cant be bothered to oc manually as i cant get it to fckin work some reason but still, logged into nvidia to just get my gpu drivers updated haven't been updated in like 2 months finally resolved the issue but the weird thing is i'm trying to disable msps did regedit did local group policy and now using bitdefender but still comes showing up in games and using 10% dont think this has anything with the lag but i didnt have it happpen til i messed with msps (windows defender). Should i revert the changes and just let it run all the time?

if the case has low or bad airflow that rises temps all around, use msi afterburner and set up a profile for the fans on your gpu

Hey i got a 850w gold or whatever corsair psu to last me a long time with 2x crossfire r9 280s but then i upgraded to a 1080 and my whole system probs dont use more then 350 watt's if i would think about it now i would go with a 650-750w good reliable psu but it was not much exspensive at the time either.

turn up the fans maybe? Setting more aggressive plan if you have a desktop as im assuming or active cooling if it's not cooling at that temp for some reason

is there a problem with high idle frequency? My 1080 idles at 1671 idles at 40 and 1911mhz under load.

So when i tried to overclock my 6800k with my x99 sli plus with the most updated bios it worked fine for hours at first 4.0 ghz on 1.3 day after unstable 3.9 1.3 worked fine for a little bit again unstable and lag a lot. now when running oc genie 3.7 1.1 something volts worked fine and well before the oc and now it's worse and lags on desktop normal usage which is very annoying any tips? I disabled hyper threading which increased performance a lot and fixed it yesterday which is laggy and choppy asf now.

didnt know this chip was this special but then evrything else works fine for now

either i really lost the lottery or the cpu is broken but now most my game work fine but r6 lags even if oc, turboed or at stock all 3.4 or 3.7 or 3.9 running 1.1 volt i believe oc and stock if the cpuid hw monitor works

dropped it to 3.9 on 1.3 and works with temps 55-60 idling 40-45

i mean it works fine for like the first half hour i play now im having constant drops and spikes and shit making my game experience terrible

got my cpu oced to 4 ghz on all cores with the 6800k running on 1.3 cpu voltage is it too little voltage if moving my cursor lags in windows but not in some games
