Defending a position by stating free-speech is such a concession; you’re saying that the most compelling thing you can say for your position is that it’s not literally illegal to express.

    Tbh, sometimes the people showing you the door are the real assholes (echo chambers, anyone?), but that doesn't change that the 1st Amendment is meant to be used as a safety net, not a security blanket.  There's a substantial difference.

     

    The Constitution promotes personal responsibility just as much as freedom of speech, if not even more so.  People L O V E  to overlook that.
