Pretty cool that the wife agreed to upscale our entertainment solutions.

From an old 32in Panasonic 1080p TV and an old xBox 360 to a 58in 4K TV with 5.1 sound system, and now, I'm shopping for a PS4 Pro deal ? (I'm more of a PC gamer but my wife prefers the PS4, so why not! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

I guess it helps that we're now in a house instead of a small 2 bedrooms apartment ... our living room is literally twice as big now! Gotta fill it ! ;)

P.S. : and before anyone brings it up : yes, she had to agree. We're taking decision together, as in ; we're a couple. It's not about the money (she's actually making more money than me! :P) but rather it's about agreeing with each other, and sometimes compromising when needed.

Best Buy here in the US has the PS4 Pro for $300 which is an absolute steal, hopefully you can find something similar.

I hear ya @wkdpaul. Relationships are 50/50. Especially when the decisions involve major purchases and/or changes.

@MEC-777 yup, only added the PS because I had numerous "toxic" interactions online, stuff like "I'm not a man because I don't have 100% of the decision in the household" or similar ... I don't know where this comes from (most probably it's them projecting their insecurities), and like you said, when it comes to decisions that affect everyone (purchases, work, kid(s) stuff, etc...), then your spouse / partner should be involved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@TheSLSAMG The PS4 Pro is on sale for $370 CAD (so roughly $280 USD) at every major retailers up here during Black Friday. So I'll get it on Amazon to avoid the crazy crowds! :P

My wife is also interested in the PS VR kit, though I'm not sure it's worth it, I would prefer a Vive or Oculus ... so we'll see for the PS VR as it would only be a plus and the BF sales don't look that great on it.

@Rohith_Kumar_Sp We went against all our initial choices and got the Hisense 58in R61090 Roku TV at Costco, it's not anywhere near the Sony or Samsung, but since it's mostly going to be my daughter and in-laws watching 720p-1080p streaming ... so the $700 savings is the reason we're looking to get a PS4 Pro! :)

We also got lucky because the Vizio 5.1 audio system I was looking at on Amazon was on sale at the Costco where we got the TV, pretty happy about that too ! :)
