I don't think we missed anything here, but we don't want to waste money. Also, we will upgrade to Polaris when it drops. We are going with AMD cards because
they scale better and perform better at 4K....we think...

    Thanks Isaiah and Kai

Looks like I'll be getting an MSI R9 390.

Just removed the GPU and reinserted it. I also put the thumb screws in as well (didn't have them in prior). It now boots! However, if the problem persists I will notify you and @Xarvz

Try removing the GPU and putting it in again.

If the onboard video worked, the GPU is not recognized by the motherboard, so it might be dead or with bad contact to the motherboard.

Otherwise try cleaning the computer (if it's too dirty) and using WD-40 to clean the contacts of the GPU and the motherboard.

    Fully themed, monster machine.

I went brand whore on this one. MSI and Corsair all over the place.

    Black/White theme.

Case fans to pump up the Black/white

Take special note of the type of MSI 980 Ti I picked, as they are black/white.

PSU... I found a black/white one, but you could settle for something else.

I went a bit over the top on a few parts, making the overall build more expensive, but you had the budget, so I used it.
