I just got the G633 and I would definitely recommend it.

I've been looking at a mechanical keyboard for a while now. I've been using a fairly basic one since I initially built my PC.

The 980ti is one of nvidia's best graphics cards right now. It may not be "the best" once its Pascal equivalent is released, but it's still a very solid card.

My parents are running an old pc from a hdd, and a new ssd would definitely breathe some new life into it.

I'm running the Xeon E3-1231v3, and it's only slightly more expensive than an i5, and it performs very close to an i7, as it has hyperthreading. It's great for gaming (from my experience, anyway), as long as you have discrete graphics and don't mind not being able to overclock.

http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-gl551jwwh71wx-p-8771.html Asus GL551JW $799 to start, and can be configured with an ssd and hdd (if you're ok with losing the optical drive) and 12GB of ram to come in at a little over $1k. Screen isn't 4k, and it probably won't get 6 hours on the battery, but that's asking a lot of a gaming laptop. The GTX 960m does only has 2GB of vram though. Xotic PC also offers a lot of other customization options if you're feeling adventurous.

It would be cool to experiment with this as a laptop replacement. Could be combine it with a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a portable display. Could be very cool.

All of them look good, but my favorite is that keyboard. I've never had a mechanical keyboard before.

I'm planning on buying an Asus ROG G751 soon (maybe black friday sale if I'm lucky), and I've read that, since it's quite a large laptop, finding a bag that fits it is difficult. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a bag that can accommodate this laptop. I'd prefer a backpack-type bag because I'll also be carrying around a binder or two. Also, if I can help it, I'd like to avoid the ROG Nomad, as it is a little expensive. Thanks for any replies!

I'll have to look into that MSI. If it's available when I'm ready to order (later this year), I'll definitely consider it.

I'm looking at getting a new laptop soon, and I decided that I wanted something more gaming oriented. My budget is around $1200 USD, but lower is better. I found the Sager NP7255 (http://www.sagernotebook.com/Notebook-NP7255.html), and I like it, but my big concern is battery life. I read on the XOTIC PC page for this model that the battery only lasts 2+ hours. I'm a college student, so I will be moving it around a lot, and not necessarily have access to an outlet. I would prefer something that will last a little longer. I was wondering what other good options are out there (or which ones to avoid), that have similar specs to the Sager, but maybe with a little better battery life. Must haves would be: -I7 Processor (4th, 5th, or 6th gen) -GTX 950 or better graphics P.S. If my expectations are too high for the battery, please don't hesitate to say so.

Definitely liking these diy server-style build logs.
