Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from exoHD in Whats faster 2 sticks or 4 sticks?
do ur school work , if u have more sticks , each core gets assigned to a ram stick, and i dont know what im talking about? for all u know i might be designing ram itself, so dont judge before u do the homework
u can confirm ur bandwidth gain even on dual channel boards with 2 vs 4 sticks easily, its more bandwidth due to core assign
4sticks will always beat 2 , even if it runs in singlechannel mode, simply due to the fact of every cpu these days having 4 or more cores
the only downside on 4sticks is that it stresses the memory controller more and reduces ur maximum overclock capabilities
ram is also bottlenecking cpus these days, hence why higher mhz gives more fps, or 2 vs 4 sticks , hence also why ddr5 will becoming soon

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from rotexen in Amd ryzen 9 5900x random stuttering while gaming
i have no stability issues with 4sticks at all and im running 3600cl14 sticks ( very tight set ) i dont think its related to ram sticks at all its just the bios ver

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from rotexen in Amd ryzen 9 5900x random stuttering while gaming
ive had nothing but issues on the new bios, i had to revert back due to crashing and bsods, the issue is with the new bios, im on a x570-e gaming board that new bios is unstable as hell for me
i think the new Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.7. is the cause of it

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from SRX_GForce in Mixing GPU Brands
it is no issue to combine graphic cards but im pretty sure that chrome/discord go through the main graphic card aka gpu 1, theres no compilation with drivers really too since its amd and nvidia, theres a chance if u have a monitor connected to the 1030gt that stuff u run on there will go through the 1030gt ( dual monitor setup ), i wouldnt worry about outputting on the same gpu as gaming card though, i have a 2080ti outputting 4k 120hz and 1080p 144hz at the same time without issues or fps loss, and im using a displayport to hdmi 2.1 adapter, short said i would just run with 1gpu unless u have specific bugs with a 2nd monitor then the 1030gt can help with 2nd monitor

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from RONOTHAN## in Question about when testing a new build
it doesnt matter its more to see if the system post so u dont need to troubleshoot with everything inside the case, u could literally do a post test without a mouse and keyboard too x) but it will say no keyboard connected probably

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Rym in Do RTX 3080s still get bricked by highly intense concentrated loads, like the issue they had in New World?
honestly dlss is more for 4k, if u game at 1080p u really dont want to enable dlss, raytracing if u like it i guess why not 😄
i dont recommend the TUF card coz of card sag( its the worst on tuf card )

then search for laptop model nr and download chipset drivers on manufacturer site

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from KPsuper in Mouse doesn't work on laptop but works on other devices
just plug the thing in and try chipset driver, it doesnt matter if its connected or not but it can solve problems usb related using diff chipset driver

try chipset driver instead of usb in device manager

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from StarLord64 in RAM Not Running at Correct Mhz?
dont mix ram sticks, even if first timings are equal ,secondary or tetriary timings are never the same, ul get stability problems wether its in high or low profile problems shown

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Ben17 in i think my 5700XT is overheating
dont look at idle temps coz somthing as simple as a video can up the degrees by alot already, the card can run at 90*C easily , electricity noises is probably coilwhine. go and see what coilwhine is if its similar its normal
idle temps can vary from 30 to 65*C easily on gpus like that ( mines at 65 with a youtube vid on )

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Ben17 in RX 5700: are the driver problems still there?
yh only 19.7.1 / 19.10.1 stable , still testing 19.11.3

19.10.1 stable 19.7.1 stable, and so far no probs on 19.11.3 ( but not sure if stable yet on 19.11.3 )

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from ddennis002 in Help with blue screen after ram OC
if u dont know how ram ocing works, dont even bother , because mhz gets negated by cas latency and vice versa
the only thing ur creating if u overclock ram without knowing what ur doing is system instability and a high potential of blowing up files / causing corruption on files and corrupting windows itself to the poitn where it wont boot anymore
theres also no such thing as dram calculator that actually works, because the timings a stick achieve is mostly on the sticks itself rather then cpu, ofcourse its limited by the mem controller also but each system achieve different timings
and even after all that, u need to run stress tests for ram for atleast 3passes in memtest ( preferable all night ) and a minimum of 24hours in prime95 due to it able to crash after 15hours+
also there can be slight unstabilities even when u do pass stress tests and still cause file corruption ( mostly secondary timings unstable )

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Bender Blues in AMD specific RAM, is there such a thing?
theres no specific intel or amd ram sticks, unless ur talking about a xmp profile exclusive to intel or amd, but there isnt, its basicly called marketing , when looking for ram sticks u want to look for best mhz to cas ratio, lowest cas with highest mhz = best sticks usually , 3200mhz with cas 16 would be worse then 3400 cas 16 for example,
however if u have a fx8350, that cpu itself is one big bottleneck , might aswell go ryzen and dont waste any penny on that 8350

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from LukeSavenije in Help needed on gaming build
if u want to cut the cost the first thing u should do is stop x570 and go b450 instead, also get less expensive case and psu... u dont really need 850watts thats overkill

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Fasauceome in Can I 4K???
dont expect 4k from a 2060 super, the only card that can really run 4k normally is a 2080ti so
unless u play really low demanding games, expect 1440p at most

Valkyrie Lenneth got a reaction from Blatcher2 in Update BIOS?
u dont need to update bios just to swap a hdd, bios updates is mostly for hotfixes n stuff, and performance improvements/ stability improvements, if its stable u dont need to touch it
