  1. I was originally planning to get the 3950x but i haven't seen the complete lineup of their 4000 series. I imagine it would be one of their top models I'm almost 100% sure that i will go with an nVidia gpu no matter what big navi turns out to be.
  2. What Motherboard should i go for that i can be sure AMD's 4000 series would work with?
  3. Budget (including currency): 30.000 DKK / 4.750 USD (directly converted) Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Everything. Games, Photoshop, Video editing, Coding / Compiling, Virtual Machines etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently have no list of what i want to make. I already have a monitor and case waiting to be used, but my main goal for this topic is to find out WHEN i should start finding out what parts i want to use. I currently have an old 4770K build, with a 1660 Ti.. My screen is the behemoth Samsung CRG9, so you could imagine that this build is struggling if i run games fullscreen and fullresolution. Since AMD's 4000 series is close, and nVidia's 3000 series even closer i imagine that i should begin finding out what parts i want during autumn. What do you suggest? Could i find motherboard and m2 drives, etc. now, and maybe even buy that, with a temp cheap amd cpu or ?
  4. I think i will have to go take a look on a monitor with a VA panel to decide if its enough
  5. I dont suppose any of those with IPS panels also have a refresh rate higher than 60 ?
  6. I already have a LG ultra wide monitor. Its the 29UB67 , which doesn't have much features, other than it being an ultra wide. It does have a IPS panel though and being able to tilt and swivel etc. I've loved my Ultra wide display since day one. I usually have multiple windows side by side, and do some coding etc, so having this kind of screen is very nice, and until i had that Ultra Wide i used two seperate 24 inch full hd monitors. However my ultra wide does have slightly less space than two full hd monitors, so therefore I'm very much considering a Super Ultra Wide now. I don't need one with a super high resolution. In fact i actually would prefer it being something like 3840 x 1080, since that equals to two full hd monitors, and if it would be 4k size super ultra wide i think my computer would die while trying to play games on that. I also plan on upgrading my computer later, but still 2x full hd is fine. The one screen I leaning the most to is Samsung CHG90, which has one downside for me ( i think ). It uses a VA panel. And with my current screen I've gotten used to the IPS panel and its colors. I would really like to not sacrifice too much color. The only alternative option I've found is a Dell UltraSharp U4919DW, which also has a larger resolution but also uses an IPS panel, but lacks refresh rate How much worse is the VA panel of the Samsung compared to the Dell's IPS color wise ? What would you go with?
  7. Okay after some further afterthought i think i will drop the windows 10 support.. Of the two boards i mention in the title, what board is the fastest ?
  8. I already have RPi 3 .. :-) Its for an application that i've made, that i need to test on other systems than the RPi 3.. :-)
  9. A good option! :-) any alternatives? I cannot find the latte panda with 4 gig ram in any european shop unfortunately (and for a non rediculus price)
  10. I'm a little unsure what board to buy here. The Banana Pi M3 seems to have a faster CPU, with eight cores compared to a quad core on the Asus tinker board. I haven't been able to find a comparison between the two performance wise. Can someone point me in the right direction or maybe even tell the difference if you happen to have both boards? I already have a Raspberry Pi 1, 2 and 3 but want to try something else :-) I would also like to try a board that can run Windows 10 (NOT IoT, but the full version), and i know that such a board would probably cost a little more. This is not a requirement but would be fun to try if it wasn't that much more expensive :-)
  11. Didnt know about this Floatplane thing ! Are the videos there going to become available for everyone else on youtube later ? :-)
  12. lol as if it was going to be used for that
  13. Not even sure this category fits lol .. Will Linus media group review this "latop" any time soon ? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gpd-pocket-7-0-umpc-laptop-ubuntu-or-win-10-os-laptop--2#/ I think its a quite interesting product, and actually considering if i should get one somehow tbh.
  14. Banana Pi looks promising compared to the normal Raspberry Pi. Then i just need to figure out if it can run XBMC like the Raspberry does with RaspBMC
