  1. I'm sure some of you have seen this documentary. Heck this may even be a repost: http://tvo.org/video/documentaries/life-after-digital The documentary is 1 hour long and It's rather disturbing to see what something that was initially a well intentioned endeavour has became. I'll just leave it at that, food for thought.
  2. He said he couldn't get anymore because they were in high demand....and made a joke out of it saying the others would have to suffer with lesser quality (but still really good mice) hence it was sarcastic/ a first world problem joke. I doubt he is actually unappreciative... sure he made it big for yt and can basically right his own cheque, but I doubt he forgets where he's been and how he got where he is (along with all the people who made it possible). Not to B===D ride, but from these moving vlog's hes actually came across as a really nice guy who is living out his dream and is genuinely happy to be a source of entertainment for hundreds of thousands of people across the globe...
  3. Meh, small tasteful LED's on case (around power button etc) are fine. What annoys me are LED on GPU and MOBO, fans etc.... just looks too gamer-ish imo. Windows are nice, especially with a colour coordinated build when managed nicely.
  4. Buying in the US would require a week long stay over the border to bring back any expensive items (980ti) legally. Also, unless the OP has American funds the exchange rate will still apply and still be expensive. It would be better to buy in Canada at that point, or wait and see if oil prices rise and the dollar rebound. I'm also in Canada and it is just stupid expensive to buy into Skylake here. Here's what I would do for 1080p high setting gaming : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/HKTFkL under $1700 and should have no trouble gaming.
  5. People use them because they are a brand name.. It's like the Nike of headphones, the only thing it has is a name and that is what you pay for, not high quality components.
  6. a dxr is $400 for cloth versions... for a reason, they are very comfy. My suggestion look around for a used one in good shape (maybe get it for 200?) If not I have a stock staples chair I use now, It doesn't have any neck/lower back pillows or even head support, but with good posture or a back pillow it is really not bad and paid around $100 if i recall correctly may have been cheaper as it was a older model. Something like this is as close as you will get to a dxr without blowing your budget. http://www.staples.ca/en/Staples-High-Back-Bonded-Task-Chair-Black/product_320794_2-CA_1_20001
  7. Yea if I go the r5 route I'll remove at least one of the moduvents. Seems like the gpu temps are good, I'm planning on going with a r9 390 Sapphire Nitro also.... which seem slike a cool card so I should be good on that front.
  8. I'm looking into Fractal Define R5 or R4 for a future case. I would like to know from those of you who own the case whether or not the airflow is decent (being a silent case with limited front intake I am worried that maintaining positive pressure could be difficult) . I plan on adding a fan to the front and using air cooling (Noctua CPU heatsink) for my CPU cooling needs as I plan on OC'ing a i5 6600k. Just want some honest testimony from people who have experience using the case, rather than youtubers giving it a once over and proclaiming it to be the best case ever... Thanks for input!
  9. Id stick with G4am one for gaming, if that's what they are going to be used for.
  10. I would suggest a quality air cooler (Phanteks, Noctua or Be Quiet!)... I've also included 120m aoi setups in my proposed build and people on here and other places have said unless you go for a 240mm rad than the benefits are minimal compared to the cost. It will save you some money. I would wait a month to be honest, see if more MOBO's roll out and we actually get some reviews on them..... as of now all I've seen are pretty much spec sheets in paragraph form, which if that is enough for you then I guess go ahead, but I would wait as your paying a premium currently for the latest/greatest. Other than that looks a o.k.
  11. Yes for console exclusives. I have both current gen, but my favorite (most played) is X1 (mainly due to halo and GoW).
  12. Yep... our dollar really killed hopes of a real value or budget PC (seeing as how its at 0.75) my advice if you have funds in American would be to take a drive over the border.... and you know buy your cpu and put it in your pocket lol. That's the only way you'll get one for under $300 likely anytime soon.
  13. Buying a more expensive kit, from a brand you trust/know (Corsair in this case) can be very much worth the money if you have to do a return or something. Sometimes you get what you pay for is all I'm saying. Ok.... what do you mean bragging rights.... ram speed is hardy a bragging topic haha, why not brag about your OC, temps etc...
  14. I would go with 8GB (2x4) DDR4-3000. pretty cheap at $100 Canadian and probably getting even cheaper in coming months so if you felt like getting another set.
