I don't think reinstalling windows will do anything... neither would killing miners. But I will do the latter
Alright.I'll try it on my friend's PC this week but I have low hopes

Not really... With that money, better go for something like a Leopold FC980M PD (Doubleshot PBT Keycaps). Head to https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/ and shoot the question there They have helped me pick a good board.

Raccatography got a reaction from Hiya! in Is there any mechanical switches i should know?
Seems like everyone gave the lowdown on the brands of switches. Here's a summary of switches I like according to type:

    Linears: Kailh BOX Blacks
    Tactility: Zealios 67g (lubed)
    Clickies: Kailh BOX Navy

I had Cherry MX Reds for 2 years. I had a love-hate relationship with them. I bottom-out a lot so I thought of getting heavier ones. Bought my first set of custom switches (Zealios 67g) and I lubed them. Let's just say they made Cherry MX Browns feel like a joke, haha. They were expensive as fuck so it's more economical to go for Outemu Ice Purples (62g or 67g) and lube them. I use my Zealios switches for gaming and typing and I couldn't be any happier. Here's a soundtest of my board:

Cherry switches are generally not loved by the Mechanical keyboard community... the vintage Cherry switches are nice, though.

Raccatography got a reaction from MrDynamicMan in EC2-A or Razer Deathadder Chroma?
I see... well I didn't go for a Razer (lol). I went for a Zowie! My grade school classmate was selling his for cheap because his brother gave him the same mouse. My mouse is just a week old and I saved 10 bucks! Made my decision easier phew. The Zowie might not look fancy like the others but damn the build quality is really nice One of those things you have to hold first before you can say anything

Yeah. Ive noticed similar. Holding the deathadder feels eh, while holding a rival 300 is like " Jayses how does it feel so solid but still be so light."

Thanks man. I'm having trouble aiming with my humongous Mionix Naos. I think the mouse is too wide for aiming while holding down the right/left button.

Raccatography reacted to Pierre Dabrunst in Desktop with integrated and dedicated graphics card setup?
Hello. I'm Pierre, new to this forum as well, watched a sh!t ton of LTT and LMG videos on YouTube tho

I just basically built a "Scrapyard Wars" computer with 2GB DDR2 RAM, Intel Pentium 4 3GHz DualCore (with hyperthread enabled to dualcore), integrated graphics of 216MB in turbo mode in BIOS setup, a NVidia graphics card 512MB Gaming rated (unknown card otherwise than that).

The dedicated GPU has 2 DVI connectors, but my screen only has a VGA connector and the adapter I have is the wrong type of connector. I think the GPU has the 1st DVI and the adapter is the 2nd type.
Is it possible to make it like laptops has this days so when I "work", it uses the integrated graphics and when I game, it switches over to the Dedicated GPU without any connector connected to the dedicated GPU?

Basically I built this PC from scrap that my parents had brought home and when I came over to them, I basically just built a PC, checked that it booted and took it home with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Didn't spend a nickle at the whole setup, pretty nice setup for no casts at all

Well... a 1080 SLI would be great, yes, but only if you have a 1440 144hz or a 4k monitor to make use of it. If you don't, then buying a new display would be better than buying the 2nd card.

Agreed. Cat 5E cables won't bottleneck your internet connectivity, only your file transfers to other computer connected to the router/switch.

Raccatography reacted to Lurick in What Cable to Connect to Desktop if I Go Fiber Optic?
Yah, a few hundred bucks is a new graphics card . At 1080p you need at most 10Mbps which it sounds like you'll be getting much more than that.

I can speak from experience about ping with Copper and VDSL/Fibre, I recently went from my 4Mbit ADSL line which got varied pings of 160ms local servers and 240ms to UK (from South Africa), to a 10Mbit Fibre line, which we are upgrading to 100Mbit, anyway, my ping dropped considerably. My ping to the local servers dropped to 50ms and my ping to the EUW LoL servers went from 240ms to 160ms. On top of that I don't have any more dropped packets, it feels soo much smoother than before.

Your problem is the sixth hop from AS9299(IPG-AS-AP Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, PH) to AS2914(NTT-COMMUNICATIONS-2914 - NTT America, Inc., US) and it is very unlikely that your routing would change just because you are getting another last mile.
Try again in a few days and see if the routing changes, or compare the route with your friends.

Raccatography reacted to deadaccount69 in Anyone know of any silent wired mice and keyboards?
Better yet an apple magic trackpad. It really feels like magic. The mouse pointer just goes exactly where you want as it it was reading your mind. Bad for gaming obviously but so is the magic mouse because it's difficult to right click and impossible to right+left click at the same time. Also , it's not that quiet. Scrolling doesn't work very smoothly either. The trackpad on the other hand has precise, smooth scrolling and excellent tactile feedback. It's also quite big which is nice. The best part? It can be completely silent because you don't even have to click if you want to be quiet but when it doesn't matter you can click too.

Note: my experience is limited to Macs with the trackpad so I'm not sure how it does on PC.

Open beta is on May 5th, find out for yourself.

Closed beta is sending out mass invites on the 15th at 9AM also, and lasts for 36-hours.
    I disagree.

If you compare the TF2 6s (6v6) competitive scene you do have a minor point, but in general it's a pretty different game considering the significantly larger amount of hero's and the TF2 6s rather stale meta, as well as vastly different level of mobility and gameplay/strategy's surrounding tanks and anti-tank hero's. TF2's heavy is a tank but nowhere near the level of tank as Roadhog, D.Va, or Reinhardt.

Just because it's a multiple class based first person shooter doesn't mean it's comparable to TF2.

This is a budget build. Yes I know... it's dual core, and it's going to die. But when overclocked it is worth the price

For gaming I would choose an i3 over an amd build, and if there's enough in the budget an i5 is ideal.. Better single core performance and a much better upgrade later on.

I don't know how it translates to your currency but If I was building a budget gamer this would be like something I'd go with

AMD can be a good go to when on a strict budget for certain things, but for gaming, it's not the best budget option.
