Well I have a macbook pro and it works fine and looks pretty. It depends on what you want it for. It kinda has low battery.

no, seriously - don't. You can get more for less - a Razer Blade for instance

A used one ofc, I'm looking at the late 2011 models and they're about $100 more than a comparable PC laptop with the same specs. It looks nicer, has a backlit keyboard, and whatnot, but I'm not sure if that kind of stuff justifies the extra $100. I don't really care about Windows vs OSX, I'll be fine with either one.

Get a Lenovo Y50 like me - much more practical.

Can't afford one lol, you do realize that the ones I'm looking at are like $500...

As someone who uses Macbooks, as well as Windows computers, I can tell you this:

For general programs, Windows wins. Because everything works on Windows. Something that doesn't work on Windows is a rare exception.

For using professional programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, I prefer Mac OS X everytime. It just works and feels better.

Yet, for any other tasks, I would still rather go to Windows or Linux. So in my opinion, it really depends what...

Not here in Canada. They are going for around $800. I ended up getting a mid-2012 (so "new" model) MacBook Pro non-Retina for $500. Thanks everyone!
