Summary Apple today filed a lawsuit against NSO Group and its parent company to hold it accountable for the surveillance and targeting of Apple users. The complaint provides new information on how NSO Group infected victims’ devices with its Pegasus spyware. To prevent further abuse and harm to its users, Apple is also seeking a permanent injunction to ban NSO Group from using any Apple software, services, or devices. Quotes My thoughts I think Apple is one of the only entities right now with the money and power to combat state sponsored attacks and mass surveillance. And I'm really happy considering my own country's government is about to purchase Pegasus and we don't have any laws regarding data protection. After the CSAM fiasco I really lost all hope on Apple and its privacy stand, but this could improve their image on that front again Sources https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2021/11/apple-sues-nso-group-to-curb-the-abuse-of-state-sponsored-spyware/ EDIT First clause of the demand, wow the wording is harsh UPDATE Apple issued a warning to activists and opposition politicians around the world if their phones has been targeted. Recently updated to a M1 Max MBP, with a 4 USB3.0 Targus dongle, is working with no issues with an iPhone 11, a Motorola One Action an charging a vape pen lol. Both phones are working great for coding with react native and running Flipper for debugging, so both are transmitting data with no problems via USB

Google Docs to prompt users to write in language that does not offend
JoseGuya replied to TheReal1980's topic in Tech News
We do have those in the spanish speaking world, replacing every a (feminine) and o(masculine) into the neutral e, eg “todes” instead of “todos” or “todas” (everyone) -
The alert you're getting is not the App tracking transparency one, is a regular browser cookies permission

Apple Ceases Approving VPN App Updates from UN Recommended App Maker

This is easily fixable, Proton has to change the description and it could be approved -
Summary Apple redirects Google Safe Browsing traffic through its own proxy servers to prevent disclosing users’ IP addresses to Google in iOS 14.5 Apple’s privacy push is much more widespread than it seems at the surface. A perfect example is the new privacy feature in iOS 14.5 Beta 1 (V2) which redirects Google Safe Browsing traffic through Apple’s own proxy servers to enhance users’ privacy and to not let Google see your IP address. Quotes My thoughts Well, if this increases user’s privacy I’m all for it. Apple already has my ip, among other private information, and preventing third parties for getting that info is good, I recon. How would Google take this “intervention” will definitely be interesting Sources https://the8-bit.com/apple-proxies-google-safe-browsing-privacy/

Its insane how people don't understand the difference between having stocks and having actual money. Elon didn't suddenly get more money on his bank account, only Tesla's shares increased in price. The second he tries to capitalize those stocks, they will drop and crash, and he will be left with nothing.
