jakeface1's Achievements

  1. I have an i7-6850k@ 4.4Ghz and a 1080ti @ 2100Mhz. With 2 480 rads the max I see is 40C on my GPU and 65C on my CPU.
  2. I like it, I think Lian Li makes some weird choices. I was able to get it on sale so for $120 it was definitely worth it.
  3. I use grey Vue in 2 systems and its been great for about 3 weeks. No issues with temps or falling out. I've seen some issues with the blue acting a bit weird, Nothing weird from the grey, silver on primochill's discord. I'll post my build below. https://imgur.com/a/Q7aE8
  4. I do, they are Gentle typhoon 1850's, I have the plain Jane Airplex series. I think you're thinking of the modular ones.
  5. Its great to build in, I did mod the case though. I took the hard drive cages out and drilled out the 5" drive bays and added a midplate and motherboard tray. ColdZero makes those parts, but I just made my own.

    My PC

This is a few pics of my setup, it'll change overtime as I work on it.
  7. My first hard line build, I went overkill with the radiators. I have a 6850k @ 4.4Ghz, 1080 ti @ 2100Mhz, 16mm barrow fittings and Aquacomputer rads. I'll be adding Primochill Vue when its released. I want to add another 1080 ti and change the backplates to to Nickel. Maybe the CPU block too? I'll try and take better pics when i get better lighting. Thanks for looking!
  8. Very nice build, did you just spray paint the acrylic? I'm redoing my 900D build also and was going to make a motherboard tray and midplate.
  9. I agree, this is why I'm looking at this as a positive. Without AMD's lineup, Intel wouldn't have released cheaper CPU's and maybe nothing larger then 10/20.
  10. I'm curious why you all think this seems rushed? I think its definitely a reaction to AMD, but its not necessarily bad. More cores and a price decrease for the same amount of threads wouldn't have happened.
  11. I think the i5 and i7 line is confusing, I can see a need if you want to upgrade later on without needing a new mobo. However I like the price drop in reaction to Ryzen. I see this as a good step in the right direction. I know some people are confused as I am. Intel may see low numbers on the i5 and i7 lines and abandon it after. Its simple really, just vote with your wallet and they will adjust. Reviews for the i9 line will most likely be positive and it i5 - i7 will be weird, only a small group will think that's a good upgrade path initially.
  12. Looks really cool, I liked the editing in the video!
  13. I'm using two of these for my setup. Like others have said you'll need to cool your VRM's somehow. http://www.ekwb.com/news/488/19/ek-thermosphere-a-new-universal-gpu-water-block/
  14. I kind of agree with Joe, but I thought that before he played it. Still might be fun on release.
  15. I like the graphics and the gunplay so far, however I find myself only playing a game or two at a time. I might pick it up after reading a bit about the other modes after release.
