  6. Hey forum! So, let me get straight to the problem. When i load up a linux based OS the loading screen spits out ACPI errors left and right and when i disable ACPI my screen is forced into a 4:3 aspect ratio with a resolution of 640x480 (or something similar, i forgot ) which makes whatever distro i'm using at the moment a hassle to work with. I also don't have full kernel logs to work with since i am using live usb's. So what do i do? Your suggestions are appreciated --FTPCraft List of what i could capture nocrs" and report a bug [ 0.224657] ACPI: Power resource [PG00] (on) [ 0.225312] ACPI: Power resource [PG01] (on) [ 0.225960] ACPI: Power resource [PG02] (on) [ 0.239086] ACPI: PCI Root Bridge [PCI0] (domain 0000 [bus 00-fe]) [ 0.239161] acpi PNP0A08:00: _OSC: OS supports [ExtendedConfig ASPM ClockPM Segments MSI] [ 0.240143] acpi PNP0A08:00: _OSC: OS now controls [PCIeHotplug PME AER PCIeCapability] [ 0.241129] PCI host bridge to bus 0000;00 [ 0.241196] pci_bus 0000:00 root bus resource [bus 00-fe] [ 0.241264] pci_bus 0000:00 root bus resource [io 0x0000-0x0cf7 window] [ 0.241333] pci_bus 0000:00 root bus resource [io 0x0d00-0xffff window] [ 0.242322] pci_bus 0000:00 root bus resource [mem 0xa0000000-0xfeafffff window] [ 0.243734] pci 0000:00:14.0: System wakeup disabled by ACPI [ 0.244855] pci 0000:00:1c.0: System wakeup disabled by ACPI [ 0.245263] pci 0000:00:1c.1: System wakeup disabled by ACPI [ 0.245680] pci 0000:00:1c.2: System wakeup disabled by ACPI [ 0.246105] pci 0000:00:1c.3: System wakeup disabled by ACPI [ 0.247315] pci 0000:00:1c:0: PCI bridge to [bus 01] [ 0.247700] pci 0000:02:00.0: System wakeup disabled by ACPI At this point, loading comes to a complete halt.
  7. You really shouldn't back up your files AFTER you get infected because those files might just be infected too. You might just carry over the virus to your fresh install. You absolutely have to be sure that your new install doesn't get infected too.
  8. You know, if you can't find the file with a antivirus/malware program you can always do a fresh reinstall of windows. It might not be the perfect option (If you haven't backed up your files you will lose them) but it's waaaaayyyy better than getting personal information stolen.
  9. You didn't open the file so it can't do any harm unless it has external help from the site itself using plugins or something similar. So i think you're save for now.
  10. So my friend dislikes Windows 10 because he heard some bad things about it. I'm trying to convince him to install Windows 10 but i need some help. Any suggestions? Thx --FTPCraft
  11. Okay, so i recently i got a homeplug due to bad wifi in my bedroom. I work in my bedroom alot so i use the homeplug often. But there are times when i like to work in the living room, on the couch. So when i do i usually unplug the ethernet cable to my homeplug and plug it into my computer but when that happens my computer recognizes my modem/router as the homeplug but acts like normal. So what is going on? WHAT IS DIS BLACK MAGICZ??? Thx --FTPCraft
  12. As far as i know sata ports have a max of 6GB so you won't profit from 10GB cables, if those even exist.
  13. I used an ODD to reinstall windows 7 about three months ago.
  14. I'm actually saving up on transport. I used to pay around €110 - €120 per month, now it's just €55 so i manage to set aside €65 each month. I've already got €130.
  15. You can activate it since the key is bound to the motherboard/CPU
  16. It's because some vacuum cleaners can create static electricity and can then zapp your components, your's may not do this but i still recommend doing the cleaning another way if possible.
  17. The link is faulty, you should fix it if you want us to help you...

  20. If it is what i think it is, it would download windows 8 and set up a bootable medium like a usb stick.
