i think for us and canada at least, you can get dell u2713hm for $550 on monthly sales with 3 year advance replacement warranty.

if that's not bang for your buck, i don't know what is.

So a full sized keyboard of the same model that has lets say mx-browns in it is the same price as a tenkeyless keyboard of the exact same model, and also had brown switches in it.. what's different on the inside?

why do people buy bigger TVs? just sit closer to your current one. ;)

i find it quite silly to spend your money on things that you're NOT using everyday before spending your money on things that you do.

aesthetics + marketing + high cost
it works and looks nice for the critical first impression. the high cost persuades people to defend their purchases. eventually, they start buying into their own ranting.
basically, those 3 points results in the buyer word-of-mouth advertising (the most effective form) to themselves. vicious cycle really.

people buy things because it's cool.  there is ZERO complexity behind this; it's really that simple.

remember, people DO NOT research things they buy.

someone who spent a $100+ on a razer mouse and then bragged about it online WILL NOT be telling everyone how it failed 6 months later.  This just doesn't happen.

can we do a tech kit focused on carrying a MINIMAL amount of gear instead of just carrying everything?

for example, that router is just ridiculous and I know that isn't one of the cheaper models either.  Someone should be recommending a nice pocket router that is good enough for diagnosing (ethernet ports, 5GHz, etc.) but not necessarily 24/7 because there are better less portable options.
