  1. I like the way it isn't my terrible phone... It also looks fabulous!
  2. The motherboard IS dead, but my RAM is fine! Amazon have been awesome, and they're sending me a new motherboard that should arrive tomorrow... kinda makes me feel bad that I have lied to them, but I'm sure I'll sleep fine! Thanks again for all your help, this community is amazing.
  3. Nah hasn't worked, but cheers! I'm going to sleep now, but cheers everyone for their suggestions, I'll follow up this post with how I get on tomorrow. Thanks!
  4. Ouch, see coke isn't just bad for your body it's bad for computers too!
  5. You fill me with so much confidence! Thankfully I have a spare mobo and spare RAM... and my mobo that appears to be screwed is still within it's return window!
  6. I'll give it a go, I removed it for about 10 seconds earlier but I suppose that does nothing? Here goes!
  7. Hehe, well I may not have sorted my problem yet but you guys have raised my spirits. I don't feel worried anymore! I'm probably going to leave it for now, getting tired and I don't want to break anything in tiredness and frustration. It'll probably go to the computer shop, I'm good friends with the owner so I won't pay much for him to look. And a second thank you, I've been a lurker on the forums for a while, only having made an account for a competition. I'm going to make sure I stay active now though, this is such a great community.
  8. Cheers mate, I think something has shorted... looks like Amazon are going to have to deal with a sneaky return heh heh!
  9. Haha... kinda feel bad for unplugging it now! Just done it, no luck. Ugh, why did I have to try installing new RAM?
  10. Nope, but it flicks on when I unplug it from the PC and says disconnected
  11. I have an old motherboard somewhere, but no thermal compound, so I'll go out and get some tomorrow I guess.
  12. Nope... could it be possible that I have shorted something?
  13. All of the power cables are plugged nice and firm, I had my pc working fully until I managed to turn it on mid-memory installation. No beeps at all, the mobo has build in speaker so I'm guessing that should work. Cheers for replying
  14. Well I think I may have made a big mistake, and may have broken something! Basically today I got a new SSD, which I got working fine. While the side of my case was off, I thought well I may as well install some new RAM as well... but while one of the sticks was half way in I accidently hit the power button with my elbow and the system started up. I promptly stopped it hoping I hadn't caused any damage... I usually don't even open my PC with the power cable in, so the one time I do it screws me over. So now when I start my PC, it appears to start perfectly fine, but nothing is ever displayed on the monitor. I've tried two different graphics cards and tried running the system with only one stick of RAM, but nothing has worked. I pretty much only just bought most of the system, so I'm a little shaken and have no idea what to do. Here are my specs - Windows 8 Pro 64bit Intel Core i5 2500k MSI Z77MA-G45 EVGA ACX SC Geforce GTX 760 8 gb of Corsair Vengeance memory @ 1600mhz (2x4) Thermaltake Smartseries Smart SE 730W PSU Cheers in advance for any help, I'll probably take it to the local repair shop tomorrow if noone here can help me. God what have I done. Cheers, CheenoDash
