I find it unsettling how people value motivation over discipline. Discipline is what keeps you going when motivation fails. It's the most reliable of the two, it cannot come fleetingly, and it must be acquired through hard work and strenuous ordeals.

Discipline is what's keeping me hard at work right now when my motivation has run dry.
