  1. @LinusTechi strongly disagree with this sentiment. You use the software in your video. A video, which you produce to make money with constant ads for your store (even on the "adfree" floatplane), sponsors etc. That is commercial use and there is no way to sugar coat it. That said, the dev's webpage is badly designed and doesn't make it clear enough and the drama he used to get you to subscribe to his service was stupid as hell. I don't think it's justified to be outraged about it - i guess you ruffled some feathers with your hot takes and in the end you corrected a simple to fix error.
  2. Yup, and your choice does not support it. Might not be worth it for you - but at least something to keep in mind in a server.
  3. Add-on sata adapter cards do work as far as i know. On the drives - Seagate doesn't seem to be the most reliable brand in drives right now: https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-failure-rates-q3-2017/ Maybe go for dual channel ram instead of one DIMM (tho speed shouldn't really be that affected in a NAS) and ECC would be supported by the CPU.
  4. An SSD is the single most significant upgrade in the last decade or so. The speed is fantastic and the reliability is too.
  5. i just want to test that mouse so hard - also i need one for my laptop
