  1. OK guys so here's the deal I'm moving away from the country side (I live in Ireland by the way) and into a town. My old house has disgusting internet speeds of 3up and 0.5down but when I move to town I should have roughly 50up and 10down, this left me thinking since I'm moving next Friday and we haven't even chosen our internet provider yet, is there anything I can buy that will make my speeds better or is there a way I should ask him/her to setup my internet? I'm not really good when it comes to networking so any help is accepted, thanks
  2. I have been saving my money for a while now in order to purchase three monitors to create a triple monitor setup, but now that it has come to the time to purchase them I'm stuck between which monitors to get, The: Asus VN247H 23.6-inch ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A4415KG/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B00A4415KG&linkCode=as2&tag=marz-21&linkId=FYD7OP2ZKVDJULS2 ) or The: Asus VN247HA/ 23.6-Inch ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S12AYNM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A1F8YGP86NG3IP ) Both Monitors seem great, It's just im not hugely informed on monitors so i have come here to ask for your help! Also my video card is the Gtx 970 so since I would be using Nvidia surround do i need to Use a Display port? ( If possible could you give me a small step by step guide on how i could set up these monitors? ( Not Recommended but would be useful!)) Thanks!!
  3. I need to order a monitor by this evening, I cannot wait for personal reasons, I haven't done a whole lot of research so I'm coming on here to ask the community for advice on what monitor to purchase!! Here are my requirements: €450 and under. (I might be able to stretch the price if it's worth it) 1080p or (1440p (preferably)). 144hz. Capable of triple monitor setup. (In the future I hope to buy two more) Must have HDMI and Display port connections. The thinner the Bessel (plastic/metal bit whatever its called) around the monitor the better! Thanks! I hope you can come up with a solution to my problem, meanwhile I'll be looking for monitors as well! Thanks!
  4. I just downloaded this image http://www.facets.la/wallpaper/W_2014_339.jpg and when I went to set it as my wallpaper I noticed that the Image quality was degraded... It might not be a huge problem to some, but I find it insanely annoying... Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the image I downloaded is 1440p and my monitor (it's a TV... I know I need an upgrade...) can only display 1080p? If you know a solution could you please tell me how to fix this problem as I must have spent the last hour searching online for an answer... Thanks!
  5. Before my build arrives I thought that will this PSU:http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00V5B76LE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01 Will fit in this case:http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LITHMRG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 Thanks! If it doesn't could you please recommended a different PSU please!
  6. Both of these cards are placed on Amazon.co.UK by gigabyte for the GTX 970, and I'm not sure what the difference is between them... They seem identical to me. Could you please tell me what the difference is (if there is one)? Card 1: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-NVIDIA-Gaming-Graphics-Express/dp/B00NQ862GY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436650447&sr=8-1&keywords=gigabyte+gtx+970+g1+gaming Card 2: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Gaming-Nvidia-Express-Graphics/dp/B00TI8R6AW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1436650447&sr=8-2&keywords=gigabyte+gtx+970+g1+gaming Thanks!
  7. LINK TO MY PC BUILD:https://pcpartpicker.com/user/CFerguson87/saved/ At long last I have finally decided upon which parts I will use in my first ever PC build! And now before I order and purchase my parts, I have decided to come to the forums to ask on your advice on a couple of aspects before I spend all of my money on my PC! These are the questions I have about my build : 1. Are there any Improvements I can make to my build, without spending any more money as I have already exceeded my budget. 2.Is my PC good for gaming in 1080p? Can I play most titles with maxed out graphics in 1080p? 3. Would my PC run GTA V, Bf4, and The Witcher 3 in 1080p at a stable 30+ Fps at completely maxed out settings? 4. Are all of my parts going to work together well? Will any be bottlenecked? Or unable to reach its full potential? These are all of my questions regarding my PC! ( I know my Motherboard is better then it needs to be, but the reason I chose it is so that I have extra head room for upgrades in the future!) Thanks for your help! I just really hope my first build is a good one! As you can imagine I'm nervous and anxious to get it up and running so your help is highly appreciated! By the way my case and fans will have blue leds, the reason they are white on the link is because i couldn't find the blue models on Pcpartpicker.com! thanks!
  8. I'm putting my first PC build together and am wondering will the long gigabyte gtx 970 gaming 1 windforce graphics card fit inside a Corsair carbide series spec-03 mid tower ATX case?
  9. So I should go with the gigabyte gtx 970 G1 gaming edition? And what's the difference between these two cards http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-NVIDIA-Gaming-Graphics-Express/dp/B00NQ862GY/ref=sr_1_1?s=gift-cards&ie=UTF8&qid=1436458611&sr=8-1&keywords=Gigabyte+gtx+970 AND http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Nvidia-WindForce-Express-Graphics/dp/B00TPQQ7YI/ref=sr_1_4?s=gift-cards&ie=UTF8&qid=1436458611&sr=8-4&keywords=Gigabyte+gtx+970
  10. I'm building my first gaming PC and cannot decide which version of the GTX 970 to get? Can somebody tell me which version is the best and why?
  11. most people on these forums are from the USA or Canada, I said dollars so it's easier for them. There's also not a huge difference between € and $ when it comes to exchange rates. I updated the topic to include Euros.
  12. If you're able could you design a €1000 PC build for me (excluding the operating system!). I'm not going to overclock my PC, and I want something really good for gaming. (Don't include keyboard, mouse or monitor).
  13. . Thanks man! I actually decided to opt for the MSI z97 Gaming 5! I know it has more than I need but it will leave me with more room in the future if I want to get a second gtx 970 for sli, and it just appears to be a really good Motherboard! Would all the parts that I listed above be compatible with this Motherboard and the i5 4460?
