  1. Hey there! I need some help picking out a bang-for buck monitor with the following specs: Resolution: 1440p Response Time: ~1ms (this I dont care about as much, Im a boomer now so my reaction time isnt what it used to be) Refresh rate: 120z-144hz Budget: Absolute Max $200 USD Use Case: Gaming, Work-From-Home, and Media I know these posts are annoying, but I haven't been able to keep up with the Display market recently to know where the value is, so I appreciate any help you can give!
  2. Hey all! I was wondering if any of you all have experienced running the i5-6600k with the RX 570 recently with AAA games. Are you experiencing any frame drops with some of the more demanding titles like Warzone? I found a pre-owned build for $500 with this combo, along with 16GB of 2133 gskill ram, and on the ASRock z270 Gaming Mobo. Thanks for any help!
  3. Hey All! I am the Technical Director for a small Community Theatre. They brought me on board to help take them into the 21st Century. Right now, our next expense is getting a Rear Projection set up, so that the backdrop can be 20 feet wide. Does anyone on the forums know of any Rear Projectors that would be able to accomplish this goal, without going over, lets say, $1000? I could not find any decent resources online for projectors themselves. Thank you so much for any help you can provide!
  4. So I would basically be sending the "Recording" at a super fast bit rate over to the Streaming PC, to then be sent out from there, via the Cable Line?
  5. I have a networking question to ask, and I think its an issue that a lot of people may run into at some point. I have DSL Internet (10M Download, 1M Upload. This works fine for online gaming), and just had Cable Internet installed (25M Download, 10M Upload) Along Side the DSL Internet. Obviously, the Cable Internet would have to be the network to stream on. However, there is 2 issues with Gaming and Streaming on the Cable Network. 1. Latency and Lag on both the Stream and the Online game I would be playing could cause issues. 2. There is a data allowance on the Cable internet (500GB). This shouldnt be too much of an issue for the streaming, since it doesnt take up a super large amount of data, however, it is worth noting. What I was wondering was: Is there a way to Stream AND Game from the same computer, but on 2 separate networks? (Stream going out the Cable side, and playing the actual game on the DSL side). I do have a pretty beefy system, so encoding shouldnt be an issue. If its not possible to do this, is there a way to send the gaming footage in real time to a separate Streaming PC? Any help you could lend would be much appreciated. Also, feel free to use this as a video idea as well, as I feel this could be useful to a lot of people. Thank you so much, Arty (aka GuyGalaxy)
  6. Thank you guys for all the suggestions! So do you all agree on getting the 750D (or the 760D if i can get a good deal on it)? And do you think you could link those 2 lenses for me? I want to make sure I buy the right ones. Thanks again!
  7. I would be starting fresh. I have no lenses, no tripods, etc. And as far as budget, I wouldnt want to spend any more than like, 650, if thats possible
  8. Hey all, I am trying to get into some Weather Photography. I want to capture Lightning, Rain, Snow, Extreme Wind, Etc. Also, I would love to do some Star Photography as well. It does have to be a relatively budget camera, as I am just a beginner, and I don't want to be dropping a ton of money on this right off the bat. I would love any recommendations that you all have! Thank you so much!
  9. It is going to be projected on a screen kind of like this: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/110-diy-screen-section/1677826-easy-ambient-light-rejecting-screen-paint.html And it needs to be bright enough for people that are sitting about 160 ft away to be able to see. Also, it has to be kinda bright for it to not be affected by the staged lights. (They wont be pointed anywhere near the screen, so this should be too much of an issue, As far as price goes, we are on a bit of a budget. So if there are like, 3 options to choose from (One 'Budget', one 'Mid-end', and one 'Higher end, but not too crazy'), that would be great. But either way, it has to get the job done. And as far as connections, VGA, DVI, or HDMI would do. Nothing fancy.
  10. Hey all! I have been put in charge of finding a Projector for a Community Theatre, and I figured some of you all may have some insight. It will be "hung" from the ceiling, so it can be projected onto the back wall, without the actors being in the way. Nothing too fancy, just regular aspect ratio, 1920x1080, etc. Thank you guys and gals so much for any recommendations!!
  11. UPDATE: When i press and hold "Alt" and then press caps lock, the Web pages dont pop up
  12. Hey all, Have another issue i cant wrap my head around here. Whenever i press the caps lock key on this HP laptop, it opens a webpage Ive ran 3 malware/adware scans and just cant figure it out. Any ideas? Thanks!
  13. UPDATE: Ran BlueScreen view (God bless you Nirsoft), and it said id was caused by the "prio.sys" driver. Ever heard of this?
  14. Hey all! Long story short: One of my Towns servers went down. This server just so happened to control DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory. They had just bought a new server, and my company was about to go down there the next day to transfer all their services over. We can rebuild DHCP and DNS. However, we can not get to Windows Server 2008 to transfer Active Directory. We can boot into safe mode, but cant boot into Safe mode w/ networking or Safe Mode w/ Cmd prompt. It Blue screens when you normal boot after the "Applying system setting screen". Question for you all: Can you recover Active Directory from a full system recovery image that we have on backup? (Yes we have tried repairing the Server with the Backup using a Boot CD) If we can't get that Active Directory, we have to rebuild the town's network infrastructure. Thanks for any help you can provide. EDIT: The server is in Raid 1 Array.
  15. This projector is a technological marvel. Nice job LG! And thanks for doing this giveaway LMG! This projector would be PERFECT for my DND group!
