  1. So if I'm listening to music with lots of vocals I should choose the Momentum over the M50x's? And of course, the M50x's if I listen to EDM or basically any electronic music? EDIT: It is the Sennheiser Momentum 1.0 I'm talking about, not the 2.0, they cost $400 in my country, and the 1.0 version is only $200 right now. Still a good choice compared to the M50x's?
  2. So since the Sennheiser Momentum is on sale right now, are there any noticeable difference in the way they sound? Are they more bassy, clear or just overall better than the M50x's?
  3. The Sennheiser ones are actually on sale in one of the big electronics store at the "Momentum", get it? Sorry.
  4. Yes, they may very well be, but I've had some really nice customer service experience with them (having to return defect products, which might sound bad, but I reckon this could happen to ANY product, be it Android, Apple or Windows Phone) and that is why I'm sticking with it.
  5. Not a huge fan of IEMs, I don't like adjusting them in my ears all the time, and having something "In ear" for me feels weird and not very good. I can get away with listening to the Apple Earpods for an hour, but then the experience decreases to a level where I unplug them and don't feel like listening to music.
  6. So DACs are good for when I'll be home? EDIT: Also, what would they cost, I'd prefer if it wouldn't cost more than $50
  7. I've got the Apple Earpods for when I'm at work, and they do the job for whenever I'm outside. I'm really looking for headphones to use when listening to music in public transport to and from school, in school and at home for PC gaming (and music as I do some coding in my freetime).
  8. Maybe not from a spec perspective, but you can't compare two different OS's with each other, iOS vs Android. They are what they are, and whatever you buy, that is what you get. I'd say getting an iPhone over an Android device could be "worth it" depending on your use. I bet you're not sitting with your Android phone running benchmarks all day long. Don't get me wrong, I like the Android OS, I'm a huge fan of Material design and all, but iPhone does it for me.
  9. So I'm looking to buy a pair of headphones. I'm hugely interested in the Audio Technica M50x's, but I'm not sure, since the Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones look so comfortable. I'll be driving in a crowded bus to and from school, and in school I can also use headphones, as long as they don't leak too much sound at medium volumes, which I'm suspecting the DT770's might. Also, I'm a bit worried about the DT770's being 80 ohm vs. the M50x's which are only 38 ohms. I'll be using my phone, Macbook and desktop PC, listening to music on my iPhone 5 and Macbook while doing some gaming on my PC. So I'm not sure if all my three devices will be able to drive the DT770's to a good volume, and I do not own an amp (also I haven't found any "cheap", portable ones). I know going out to a store and trying them on would be the best solution, but I can't seem to find any stores nearby, without having to take public transport for up to an hour both ways. Any thoughts and/or suggestion are welcome, both on headphones and amps (if the amp isn't too much money)! (Budget is around the $200 US range, I'll be converting this to my currency, I live in Denmark)
  10. Thank you very much for all your answers, I strongly feel that I can now make a more educated decision on a new headset
  11. When looking for a headset, as you described "Produces good sound" should I be looking at the frequency response and driver diameter or something completely else? I know an answer might be "If they sound good", but really, I want to do some research before spending time at the store, being talked over by some sales-dude(ess)
  12. So what are you guys' thoughts on the SteelSeries Siberia 650 and HyperX Cloud II? Good bang for the buck?
  13. You're 100% right about not choosing depending on this "debate" rather than trying them out myself. I'm new to this "non-gaming" market, so I've never known anything that didn't have "Gaming headset" in the name. That said, I'll probably end up with a "Gaming headset" anyways, as I still need to play CSGO in my free time, and I don't have the money to spend like $600 on a "real audiophile" headset.
  14. I'll be sitting both in the train and bus, so open-back won't work well for me. Thanks for the input though. EDIT: Not to mention sitting in class
  15. So first up. I'd like to know you guys thoughts on a $200 over-ear headset, which can balance both good audio and gaming. I'm not a huge audiophile, but I do commute back and forth 2 hours a day to school, and I can also listen to audio while there. So I'm on the lookout for something a tad better than Apple ear pods Keep in mind that I will be looking for a over-ear headset that I can use on my iPhone, so no USB-only headsets. Currently I'm looking at the SteelSeries Siberia 650 and HyperX Cloud II. I like the aesthetics of the Siberia 650 very much, maybe not so much the Cloud II. I'm gaming with the G930 (for comparison?) and they're kinda broken, keeps turning off and getting low on battery for absolutely no reason. Sometimes they're fine, sometimes not. Now I want a more reliable headset. Looking forward to your answers!
