  1. Both LG and Samsung monitors highlight their video Upscaling feature called Magic Upscale and Super Resolution+ respectively in their specs sheet. I haven't seen other brands mention something like this. Both of these features upscale images and try to minimize quality loss for lower resolution videos. I Plan to get a new 1080p monitor and i do a lot of video watching. Mostly 720p videos. So will this feature be useful for watching lower resolution videos or is this something that you prefer to keep it off at all times.
  2. I plan to buy a RX 570 which uses a 8 pin power connector but my Antec VP450p only has a single 6 pin PCI-E cable. From what i saw online there were 2 kinds of converters avalable .A PCI-E 6 to 8 pin and a dual molex to 8 pin adaper My Antec PSU has dual 12V rails each 18Amps So my primary concern is that i might end up pulling power from a single rail causing insufficient power draw. So will both of those adapters draw power from the 12v rail ? My system power consumption in the outervision psu calculator was around 350w.
  3. Is it possible to download android OS update to my PC and then transfer it to my mobile .I have no Wifi access and mobile data is somewhat expensive. It's about 500 MB OS update.
  4. Currently using Intel on board 842945G Graphics my older 8400gs died due to a power surge caused by lightning strike.
  5. Here's what i understood about GPU boost correct me if i am wrong The video card overclocks to boost clock when it's below a certain temperature (say 80 degrees) and comes back to the base clock if it hits 80 degrees . So does this mean when playing a graphics intensive game half of the level i would be at say 50 FPS (With boost) and the other half at 40 FPS when the card reaches the temp limit and then again back to 50 FPS when card cools down again .Won't this give a bad experience ? Also isn't pushing the card to go upto 80 degrees a bad thing with the excessive heat and fan noise ?
  6. Arkham Knight's PC was removed from steam and a re-release date was announced since it was a bad PC port . http://store.steampowered.com/app/208650/
  7. Do a scan using programs like Whocrashed and bluescreen viewer ,they might be able to give better info on what is causing the BSOD. If that doesn't help use linux ubuntu for a while it can be booted form a usb drive as well and BSOD don't occur on linux distributions if you see get any problems with linux like a system freeze then most probably it's a hardware problem ,if linux is working well then it's something software / driver related issue ,A fresh OS install might solve it.

  11. like i said before just insert your old hard drive onto your new machine i think then there will be no need for activation .If you ever format and reinstall your OS that's when the problem starts you will be able to fix this by calling Microsoft support as mentioned in that article. Just say i upgraded my hardware.
  12. Windows will expire in 30 days if you don't activate it (will be like a trial version) .If you go to system properties (win key + pause break) it will show windows is not activated.

    4K VS 5K

No i didn't say 5k will have scaling issues just saying that it might be pointless if you don't have content for it. And that story i mentioned earlier about you having a 5k monitor and your friend having a 1080p display .I had a similar experience like that ,my friend has a a little less than 720p res monitor and i have a 1080p IPS screen but when i compared a 800MB 720p movie with both monitors it looked better on my friend's 720p monitor. I did some research and found that this problem is because monitors don't have good scalars / Upscaling engines like Sony Exmor PRO ,LG triple engine which do a good job upscaling content and removing noise compared to monitors so watching 1080p on a 4k TV does make some sense Sorry if i went off topic
  14. Whats wrong with the sims i think it's good.
