Palit is good brand known for low cost but cooling on this card isn't that great. Probably most haven't heard of Zotac and they have fastest 970. In the end all is made in China, so getting best brand or reliable card is pure luck and level of focus that 15 yo kid that makes your cards invest during 12h shift in factory.

This is my personal whitelist (and somewhat of a blacklist - labeled if a specific model is to be avoided) of power supplies that you may be looking at or have in a system now. This is a reference for anybody looking at PSUs and doesn't know much about the in-depth specs of them or OEMs and whatnot. So I created this - the list of PSUs that won't blow up your system as well as some little tidbits to look out for. Note that if a PSU in particular isn't here it may not be completely terrible, it may just be such poor value for money that considering it should be out of the question.

I drew out a list of some of the most common PSU brands as well as some not-so-common ones. If the brand isn't on here then it is generally best to avoid it, though it never hurts to ask. If you have any questions then feel free to ask here or personally PM myself or @quan289 (this guy knows his stuff, even more so than myself).

Exactly, people never use 6,000 DPI so there's no point in getting it because of that.

going to repeat this once more, there are no intel fanboys, only amd fanboys. since intel is the only rational choice there is no fanboying going on.

Logitech g502 or a Razer Deathadder would suit you quite well, I personally have a Deathadder and it's great for CSGO and other FPS's alike.

Whatever you do or buy from builds these guys recommended please buy this monitor its same money but IPS panel with 1080p. Dont spend money on AOC or Benq cause LG is way better.

And if you do some research you can probably build it yourself or with help of someone who knows to do it and save money.

As a 4690k user, i would say stick with the 4460 an h81. In gaming/daily tasks you wont be getting much more for the price premium.
Better off to spend elsewhere, so go get urself a better screen, cus thats what you will be looking at anyways.
Who cares if compression takes few seconds longer and and maybe 0-3fps less in games, if you have a crappy monitor. 
 
Honeslty i dont know why people hate on the h81 so much, most of the features on the 97 chipset wont be used anyways. Just get one with a usb3 header(if your case uses front panel usb3)  just check that ur case doesnt. and a version with updated bios. Hit me up if you need help choosing. 

Asus, Gigabyte, MSI or Evga ( also XFX I would include ) are all good brands. Depends what you can get there. Look at specs of each card in the offer and cooling solution used and decide. Stay on this path and don't buy lesser knows marks. I am not saying they aren't good or you wont get good card but there brands are knows to be reliable. Memory is not that important but take any well known brand just to be on safe side. Price is more or less the same. As for PSU go for Seasonic. Never save money on PSU.

She loves PC's and video games? Marry her Life is short and you should enjoy it to the fullest. I support you effort 100% to make her happy with new build and the components you have chosen are really fine and seems to me like you gave a good though on what to get. Only thing you should consider is Razer. Most of their products are for competitive gaming and if you aren't into that you will be wasting a lot of money that you can spend on your or hers build. Ofc if you get a good deal on it a whole different story. For casual gaming you wont notice a difference. To me more important is the shape of the mouse or keyboard. You don't want to buy a small or uncomfortable mouse or keyboard trust me. Naga is only good for one type of games : MMO RPG's. There, it shines like a freaking diamond. I got one when I was playing WoW arena but later regret it cause I left the game 2 months later lol. Its a very good mouse but I could have got a better card back then or CPU for the money I spend on one mouse.

If you are not into SSD thats 45 saved there. Its over 600 but you said you can spend 800 max trust me its better to add little extra if posible and to make PC last longer. Btw hope you saved old case if you have one its a waste of money to buy new.

9 out of 10 will go for Intel cause of overall performance of their CPU's. Don't side with those 1/10 you will find out why they are minority if you buy FX. I was in same dilemma in effort to save some cash but in the end it turned out that in my country am3+ is more expensive then 1150 mobo's and that reduced the price gap to zero so I went for i5 4460. Never looked back.
